  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Pics of my G70

I would drive to Canada just to meet them!
Get a hold of yourself! I mean, I like those guys too but driving to Canada? Ain't nobody got time for that.

Got tint put on today. 30% ceramic on all five windows and the sunroof. I could tell a difference in heat transmission. Man I love this car!

Outstanding! I am getting my G70 tinted this week with ceramic film. Totally agree with you that it does a great job of keeping heat out of the car. I had it on my prior car and it made a huge difference.

I’ve been too crazy busy to get the tint done any sooner. But I did have the full front end covered in XPEL material, so no more worries about stone chips!

Looks awesome! I'm getting the same trim and color hopefully before end of week.

:ohyeah::ohyeah::ohyeah::drool:

I read somewhere that ceramic tint on the sunroof is a bad idea because it can lead to cracking/shattering. Do you happen to have some insight on this?

Yeah don't do it. The glass already has a factory tint. Supposedly the ceramic tint will absorb the heat and considering where the glass is located, it can cause issues!

I'm not sure why tint on the sunroof would absorb heat over tint on any other glass on the vehicle. The point of the ceramic is to reflect the heat, not absorb it. If it was absorbing heat, wouldn't it be making your car hotter?

As for the sunroof itself, it's glass, not plastic, so thermal shock would be the only thing that could affect it and your car isn't going to experience 100+ degree heat and then near freezing temperatures within a few minutes.

It sure didn't look tinted to me from the factory.

I guess I'll report back in a few years with my results.

A quick Google search indicates that this might be an old rumor that still has legs.

What would you guys say is the rarest/least popular/lowest selling G70 color out there (US)?

At first thought, judging from the posts in this forum, I'd think the silver is the rarest. I've seen only a handful.

Siberian and Casablanca seems most popular followed by the Mallorca Blue and Himalayan, then the Adriatic and Havana Red, then the Victoria Black, then the Santiago Silver
