Okay thank youGo to post #5 in this thread, and it gives a link to another post with a pdf file of the same thing I would send you.
A guy “tapped” me in the back at a traffic light and both headrests popped. When I removed them to inspect, I too found a bunch of broken plastic inside, including the tabs that apparently hold them together. My Drivers side headrest popped for no apparent reason. I tried to rest using the information on this forum...No luck.
I noticed many broken plastic parts on the inside. I have since gutted the headrest so that the two halves go back together.
I used velcro to keep them together. I have moved the headrest to the passenger side until I can find a replacement.

Will I have to take it to a shop to get them back downA car ran into my back bumper the other day and since then, my headrests are both popped. I have tried to push them back in with the 2 rods in the headrest, but on accident, I pushed the metal hook where the main rod goes in and I can’t move the hook no more. I know that when I moved that hook, it clicked, and I also know that when I’m supposed to push the headrest back in, it’s supposed to click when it’s back in place. I’m now wondering if that’s the click that was supposed to be heard. I don’t know if I need to re-activate the headrest pop somehow so the hooks resets and lets me fix my headrest or the hook is supposed to be like that and I’m not pushing down hard enough. The hook is almost looking completely down. Please help![]()
