Here's my situation..
I'm driving a Sante Fe on a lease ending in 16 months. I really want a Genesis coupe. I called the dealership where both my wife and I have been getting our Hyundais in the past and asked about breaking my lease. I'm at 127,000 KM's and over 27,000 at this point. I as of 3 weeks ago now work at home so I figure I will put another 15K on the car before I hand it back. Based on my payments of $500/month, the sales guy said I would owe $8000 back if I got out of the lease now, but they might beable to buy back the SUV as it was a special sports edition only made 1 year with the larger tires etc. He said this way I wouldn't have to pay for the overages or maybe the break of the lease. I was confused and still have to go test drive the Genesis to see if the car drives as good as it looks.
He said the 2010 models are done but they have stock (Pfaff hyundai). He asked which model, the V6 or 4 with turbo. I've been driving 2 Sante Fe's over the past 8 years and they are 6 cylinders. Would I feel a huge difference going to the 4 with turbo? The V6 is more money but I would be buying the car outright this time, I'm done with leasing for a while.
What are your thoughts on all this and more importantly on the 4 vs 6.
thanks guys
