I'm working with an out of state dealer (no dealer in my state) and was told I can't take advantage of the lease incentive because I am out of their state. Does that sound right or are they scamming me?

They are scamming you, the lease incentives are a nationwide program. Do yourself a favor and find another dealer.

Hey guys! Current Stinger GT2 RWD Sunset Yellow owner here. I want to add a 6MT G70 to the stable and came to this thread to see pricing but I have been extremely put off by the brand's actions so far. Almost no dealers out west and one Nevada dealer is marking everything up by $8000. I walked into the dealership and saw the salesman in the passenger seat leaned back looking at his phone. It was parked next to a base model accent and rap was blaring on the overhead speakers. I looked at the sticker with shock on my face, the dude looked up and said "Well, it is what it is. We're your only choice." and then stormed off.

I only went to the Vegas location. Didn’t have time to go to Henderson.

I don't think Henderson is marking them up. We have a member here who was getting one from them and nothing was mentioned.

That’s me! They marked them up a bit but are willing to negotiate down to reason for those in the know. However right now and for the past month they have been having trouble getting new stock. Unless it’s on the lot right now, you are better off waiting. I’ve been waiting almost 2 months now and they haven’t been able to get my color trim combo yet. And I freaking live down the street so it’s easy for me to check in/yell politely at them

If you see the one you want at the Henderson location, tell them Mr Schneider sent you and he said you could give a good deal. Should be able to get you close to msrp as a starting point before you negotiate

Thanks for all the help guys. I only work in vegas part time. I live in a snowier area. I was chomping at the bit to get a 6MT to replace my mustang, but it’ll have to wait. She’s up in storage on my lift until the ice and snow leave. I’m guessing by spring it’ll be easier for me anyway. Until then, my life long desired unicorn of a car (manual transmission, ventilated seats, power adjustable steering column) will have to wait.

Can you get ventilated seats with the 6MT? I thought only leatherette seats were available. Then again, I haven't looked into the different trim levels in detail.

Edit: Never mind, I tried a build and it looks like the leatherette is heated/ventilated also.

If I remember correctly the MT in Canada doesn’t have ventilated seats, but it does have the HUD. Wish I could get both.

This just makes that Lexus RC-F and the treatment I received at Lexus that much more appealling. If it weren’t for that damned trackpad infotainment system I might consider it.

No idea where that would come from. Given the dealer markup you stayed at the dealer much longer than I would have. I've walked into dealers with add on like that and just walked right out. Not even worth trying to negotiate with a thief like that.

In general, offers like that should be ignored. Not only do they depend on putting money down (which most people recommend against) but are usually on very base model cars that you may not want anyway.

The best way to approach it would be negotiating the price of the car you want and not mention any trade or whether you will be buying or leasing. Once a price is agreed upon you can look at trades, leasing and financing. Should you get to that point if you post the details here I'm sure number of our members would be happy to give you an opinion.

Yeah, no thanks on putting that much down on a lease. The only offer they're giving me is, "It looks like we can save you $1100 off our price on any of our Genesis G70."

This is after adding $1,100 in "Dealer added options".
