  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Post purchase price details here (US $ only)

Just bought a g70 3.3t rwd sport w/ red stitching in Siberian ice.

It was a demo car for corporate apparently so it had about 150 miles on it already.

Sticker was $50,495, but they messed up on the online ad and had it stated for $44,676 so that what I got it for. OTD price was around $49,423.... or something like that. California tax where I live was 8.4%.

pretty nice car...... I'll add pics later once I take them.

If you see a g70 in Siberian ice in OC that might be me lol.

Whoa. Sounds like a good price! Interesting about the 150 miles on it... I noticed that when G70s started showing up at dealers around Los Angeles that several of them (as listed on Cars.com) had 100 miles, or 300 miles, or 400 miles on them, and were listed as used, not new. For a day or two, you could check the Carfax ownership and registration report on those cars on Cars.com for free... I clicked and saw that several of the cars had originally gone to a dealer in Illinois, then come to Los Angeles, and in at least one case, was then transferred to another dealer near LA. (After that first day or two, the carfax links became for-pay so I haven't checked up on them after that.) I wondered what was up with those cars... maybe they were used for journalist demos?

[Obviously, I have too much time on my hands...]

Yeah I actually noticed that too. I was looking and palm springs had one I wanted, but it had 500 miles on it. Some cars came from the PGA tour that genesis held, so some golfers used it. Also my car came from Illinois too.

Sounds like they were journalist/special event/promotional cars. I think all of those are assigned to a location in Illinois as noted on this window sticker.

Thanks for contributing info! Have fun with the car.

Honestly, I don't think their online pricing messed up. If it already has 150 miles on it, I think what you paid was in the realm of fair pricing, though definitely on the lower end so that's good. Dealers can be particularly stubborn over the price of even lightly used vehicles like those. Personally I'd kill for a top trim 3.3T for the price of the entry trim even if it has hard used miles on it like that, so good catch!

They may have messed up or they may have not, but they had the same car in the same color with 333 miles on it but advertised it at sticker price of 50,864. Also I was looking at other dealerships and they advertised the cars with about 500 miles at sticker, but you could probably get it for a lot less if you tried.

For those members who used Hyundai Circle pricing Plan A:

1. Did you purchase or lease? If purchase did you get the special (lower) finance rate that is advertised? If lease, did you get the lower MF and lease cash?

2. Were you able to use all applicable current incentives (conquest, loyalty, military, etc.)?

Thanks. Trying to get some info for another member who was told you can't get the above with Circle pricing.

I used the circle plan A.

1 - I purchased. My pricing certificate didn't make any statements related to finance rates. Though the dealer did apply all the discounts listed on the certificate, along with the $250 "cash". What's nice is that their financing bank also applied $250 "cash" towards my loan, so I got a double dip for the customer cash. My initial financing rate wasn't that great - was something like 4.29% I think. I immediately transfered the loan to my bank (without any penalty/fee) for the convenience and better customer service (USAA) and as a bonus I got a slightly lower APR (3.89%, though it would've been even lower if I went through one of their approved dealers).

2 - I didn't qualify for any of the incentives. But, I knew that coming in so I didn't even ask.

^ Thanks. It could be that the member's dealer was correct in that the advertised financing rates were not available since they are currently 1.9% and I think they have been at that level since introduction.

So they outright said the special financing rate of 1.9 percent for up to 60 months or 2.9 percent for 72 months didn't apply to the Circle A plan?

Well, it didn't even mention that in my circle plan certificate. That said, I didn't even know that was a feature. Even if it was, I know they wouldn't have gone for it...jerks. Haha.

I'm not sure about the wording in the certificate itself, but I heard the Circle A plan allows you to use incentives on top of it. One person mentioned the loyalty/competitive incentive on their plan to get a super low price on a 3.3T Sport. Those incentives should also include the special finance/lease rates, but the fact that it's up in the air is ridiculous.

I hope the move to Genesis only dealerships fixes all these messes and unknowns.

I would love to be able to do so, but for some reason I still can't send private messages. Is that a feature of the forum software?

As a way to cut down on spam, PM's are only available after a member makes a certain number of posts. I think it is 10 but don't know for sure.

Just bought a 2.0 Manual 38K OTD in Miami.
What was your selling price before taxes, fees, etc.? OTD isn't a particularly helpful measure since our tax rates, fees, and other costs aren't exactly the same as they would be in Miami. The only common denominator is the cost of the car itself. Thanks and congratulations on the new ride!

Looks like a nice discount from MSRP on a harder-to-find configuration---well done!

Thank you sir! They will have to get the car from another dealer 2 hours away. I refused to get the car with a gray interior. So I had 3 choices when it comes to color: Gray, dark blue and red. The red is kinda dull, the gray is okay, the dark blue is okay but looks like a generic car. The car looks way better in silver, white or "Siberian ice".

Actually, I was going to wait or buy another car until found the car for them on CarGuru, they had no idea that this color existed.
