  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Post purchase price details here (US $ only)

Yeah that's at Patrick in Schaumburg. I went there last week to test drive a V6 G70 because I work like 5 minutes away. My experience was genuinely awful in about every way possible. I'll definitely be trying out other dealerships in the area for an actual purchase.
What's with this dealership? Are they trying to drive people away from the Genesis brand??

Speaking of dealer experiences, unless their is a specific thread I couldn't find, any experience with St. Louis, MO area dealers?

Signed contract to purchase Sport Package 3.3 AWD @ $49400 not including taxes, tags, etc. Dealer used a Vin# for similar car to write the contract because car was not in inventory. Then was told that they could not find another dealer willing to swap. Was told that they found a "car on boat" coming from Korea with my specs but could not give me an ETA or Vin#. I definitely want the G70 but thinking more about the Advanced with Prestige package. Would it be unreasonable to request that they locate such a car and cancel the Sport order?

I bought mine last week at Napleton Hyundai in Aurora. Fantastic dealer, will for sure work with you on price, and no BS. Ask for Gerrie and he will be great to you!

Highly unlikely there is one on a boat, they are just leading you on/putting you off. Unless they want to give you a 2020 for that price. There would be nothing wrong with telling them to forget it and go to another dealer or have them get you a different car.

Thanks. Sent them links to dealers that have 2019 G70 Advanced AWD with Prestige Package cars and requested that they contact same. Said they would look into it but no firm response yet. I think you are correct in that the one "one the boat" does not really exist.

I put no money down and had a $26,250 trade. I bought the warranty through Genesis that covers everything (including wheel scratches and minor dents) for 10 years for an additional $2,500. I financed just about $25,000 out the door at 2.9% for $380 a month for 72 months.

Just so you know, I had to fight this dealer a LOT with Circle A. They tried telling me that they couldn't take it, and then they tried to say that they could, but I don't qualify for the special financing, which I did.

Thanks Gus, Good Information. I'm planning my purchase in October after I have my surgery and hopefully be fully recovered. No point getting a new car pre surgery just in case imo. Good Luck with all your rides.

Is the cash incentive for purchasing still $1000? I tend to go over miles on lease and was wanting to finance instead

There has not been any cash incentives for buying, only leasing. They do offer a loyalty or conquest incentive that is $1,000.

Does the loyalty or conquest $1000 incentive impact on dealer holdback amount? Or does holdback remain same for them at 3% of MSRP?

I have never seen anything official on the holdbacks but doubt it has any effect on the dealer since it is a corporate incentive.

Gave me a VIN yesterday but when I search, number does not come up. I assume because on the boat and not yet entered into US inventory.

Link not working. Would mind trying to enter the VIN for me? KMTG34LE0KU037387

Never mind. Got it!! Thanks

^ note...in case you didn't notice...this has the red stitching on the Sport seats. Not everyone knows where to look (bottom...left of center) :)

That is what I ordered. Asked for the grey, wife wanted, but no go. Hopefully the red will not look too crazy.
