At the time of my 2020 purchase of a 3.3 sport RWD, there were several incentives, competitive owner (G37s) and lease cash I’m thinking. It was about $5k or so total. With circle A that was another $3100 or so off. Vehicle went from $51,700 to around $43373 before taxes and normal dealer fees. No negotiation was needed to get to that number with Genesis of Dallas ordering what I wanted months earlier with no deposit required and 2020’s had only been hitting showrooms 6 weeks or so before I purchased. I was happy with the number from a dealer who treated me right. I leased for 30 days with a balloon payment at the end so just like paying cash basically except I got the lease incentives. Paid no lease fees at all. My dealer knew how to make this work somehow? I paid taxes, VIT and nominal dealer fees all up front. At the end of 30 days I wired Genesis the balance due and they sent me the title. The numbers all added up. My back up plan was to have gone thru Costco for I had several dealers who had already emailed me prior with numbers wanting me to take from dealer stock on 2019s. Never used that path or tried to get my local dealers competing against each other for I wanted a 2020 that did not yet exist on dealers lots. Good luck with your purchase.Seems like over the last few pages a few members posted about some awesome deals on 2020 3.3T AWD's: @G70-driver , @Wonkeun , @pulsar , @G-462201 (among others). If any of you (or others) are willing, I'd love to hear more details about your purchases like whether they were purchased or leased, what incentives you got, your approach to negotiating, was any sort of discount pricing applied like Circle A/Costco/other, or anything else you're willing to share. I've spoken to a number of dealers now looking at a 3.3t sport AWD (2020 and 2021) and the best I've been able to muster to date is:
I've been going the lease route because it looks like those incentives are better to me than purchase, but I'd be happy to lease or purchase for the better deal.
- 2020 lease - $49954-$3721 lease cash and 0.00071 MF (I have circle A pricing but there is $5500 lease cash which they're clearly not giving me and the low MF should be 0.00022 according to Edmunds)
- 2021 lease - $49800-$2000 lease cash (No circle A pricing yet on 2021s and I believe there is only 2000 lease cash - honestly this isn't a bad deal but it doesn't scream "buy" to me).
Any input or experiences are appreciated.
