  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When I press the button to turn off the Genesis, the display and audio remain active until I open the door. The display even shows a warning about battery life due to the engine not running. Does anyone know if this behavior can be changed?

What model year, and what trim package do you have (the audio systems vary a bit depending on trim level).

I assume he's referring to the 2015. I don't know if this varies among trim levels. Mine (Ultimate trim) does the same thing. After reading through the DIS Manual, I can't find a reference to this, and therefore, not a setting to opt out of this behavior which is apparently by design. The radio will only play for about 2-3 minutes, then shut down, but I personally would prefer the option to have it turn off immediately.

I like it as it is. My other vehicles also have this feature and I missed it on my 2009 Genesis. I often listen to the end of a song in the garage after turning off the car. I have also made various changes to the address book after shutting down the engine when the change is still clear in my mind.
