  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

i don't know why on a 50 thousand dollar car they wouldn't not put a power outlet in the rear

Yeah that is a little puzzling. I'm planning to permanently install one this summer.

Definitely an oversight. IIRC, this is available in Korea, and perhaps some other countries.

I agree. My mazda has 3.

I actually hate that the plugs are both in that lil cubby instead of one being in the armrest that way I can charge my phone with it away, being in can access Google now using the steer8ng wheel I don't need my phone at all

Not that we need one in ours but yes they should have a USB power outlet in the rear. Heck my wife's Fiat has a 120v inverter outlet in the rear! Definitely someone was asleep when the designed this.

Agreed..there should have been at least one USB power outlet in the rear seating area. Most likely Hyundai/Genesis will have this minor modification made on the next Genesis release.

I have never even looked for this (no kids and no rear passengers yet might be part of why) but I'm stunned by it, for real..... did the BHs have a rear lighter or usb slot?

My guess is they held this option back to make the up coming G series Genesis more appealing.

I agree, my Chrysler 300 had a power port in the center storage area, and on long trips no cables or phones would clutter up the center armrest area of the car. Minor gripe, but the cables in the center console area are bugging me ...

That's not a very big reason to generate pull - and honestly would be a major oversight on their part, as rear ports are available on almost everything for the last few years right down to a civic.

In saudi arabia we have both USB and power Outlet in the back

our cars features in genesis is better than you have in USA and thats strange because all companies care a lot of US market due to the market size

Are they located at the rear of the center console between the front seat or are the on the rear seats console?

the reason they did not put a power outlet in the rear is because the rear vent runs up the back of the arm rest so there is no room for it so i am thinking maybe i can put it in the rear door pocket right under the arm rest on the door what do u guys think any suggestions

Edit: Oh wait...you are talking in the rear seat...nevermind! Although I have been thinking about what it would take to put one back there as well...
