  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

The car I'm leasing is a 2015 RWD 3.8 with Signature package. I'm paying $37,000 plus about $2,000 for taxes, tag and dealer fee (which is $750). It looks like my monthly payment is about $425 which seems high. I should be getting the money factor via email tomorrow...

Napleton? Closed or open leasing?
Thanks!

Most consumer car leases are closed end and I believe that is all Hyundai offers if it is Hyundai Motor Finance lease.

True, but about a year ago Napleton was offering open ended leasing. I don't see that anymore in their ads.
Of course those offerings were probably non HMF.

Looking to pull the trigger on a 2015 Ultimate RWD. I'm figuring about 44K to 45K with incentives. I also want to trade in my 2009 Genesis Tech that only has 45,000 miles and is in excellent condition. I'm figuring either 15K to 16.5K for the trade. Car Max offered me 14K for it. Any thoughts? Should I tell the Dealer I have a trade before negotiating a price or wait until we agree on a sale price. Feel I could do better on the trade with a Hyundai Dealer. Also, I already have financing via an outside bank at 1.99% for 60 months.

NO. The trade is a different transaction and if it is mixed with the car sale, it will be hard to tell what deal you got.

Hyundai is currently offering 1.90% for 60 months and a 90 day Deferred Payment option so you may want to examine their deal.

The money factor on my lease is .00022 so I guess that translates to a 5.3% APR. Correct? Any thoughts?

That's actually 0.528% interest. Residual should be 58%

3.8 with tech two weeks ago for 41,250. They paid TT&L. I think they bit me a little on the platinum service contract but overall I think it was a fair deal. I never buy service contracts but with all the electronics on this car I figured it may be worth it.

Congrats!! Can anyone confirm if all the electronics are covered under the extended warranty? Some here have posted that they might.

I searched this thread but did not see any 5.0 RWD purchases? Want to find what people are paying (outright purchase) for a new 5.0 RWD base?

I have a new set of options that i need to decide on...and i hope that i can do that this weekend...

Option 1: 2014 "Used" Equus Classic $42K. It is a Hyunday corp fleet vehicle, with 200 miles on it. Outright purchase only. MSRP $61K

Option 2: 2015 Genesis 5.0 RWD Base. $41K. It is a new vehicle, with 300 miles on it. Outright purchase only.

Questions...
- Which one make sense?
- Which one will have better value in say 3 yrs, for resale.
- If the 2015 5.0 new price $41K compelling? (MSRP : $52700)

Thanks all!!!!

The Genesis deal is a pretty good deal. And the Genesis is just all around a more modern vehicle.

Fair price on Base 5.0. Two months ago, Ultimates going for 44-48k.

Which one suits your emotions better? Which one suits your needs better? Which one, if used for business, is most impressive?

With all incentives. Seems like $48K possible before any incentives.

I am on the edge of leasing a 2015 basic has Back up cam and NAV 3.8, 6K down and $335 per month. Does anyone know if the incentives after June will be better or worse?

Price $36K with a 36 month resid of 22.7K and a .00089 multiplier.

Thanks John

Will report back if/how my deal goes tomorrow...the 5.0 base, new 2015...at $41K seems to be a compelling price. I checked with dealers around me, and they balked. The one i am getting is a lonng drive away....but the savings seems worth it.

Keeping my fingers crossed...

Just to note - my deal is for $37k for a 2015 V6 RWD with Signature package. With tax, tags and dealer fee I'm looking at $39k. That's the deal I managed to get.

I'm staring at a deal from a dealer trying to make end of month sales for May. It's a Black 3.8 AWD w/Tech package. MSRP $49,330 ---> deal not counting trade is $42979 + TTL. I'm not leasing and don't qualify for other rebates, so that is a pretty awesome deal correct? It's too bad there are no really good incentives for May for purchasers. There are basically no rebates, and no low financing deals (You can get 1.99% if you have good credit without the dealer, so I don't count that as a deal).

Anyone think the June incentives would be worth waiting a couple days for, or are they likely to not be much better? Thanks!

Hey Jon,
I got my Genesis 1 month ago (at the end of the month) in the Los Angeles area, and I got the car for $300/mo with $0 down (only drive-off fee's). Not sure where you are located, but you can probably negotiate a bit more.
