If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

After a couple of months of research and hand-wringing, I finally pulled the trigger and drove home a White/Black 5.0L base for $46,000 out the door (including TTL). It seems like on heck of a great deal and I'm super happy with the car. I bought from Hyundai IE in Loma Linda, CA.

It came with the rear Genesis decal already included. It seemed like all of their Gennies had it.

That's probably the best deal in this thread! How many miles on the odometer?

...Oh, they would not agree to switch the rear badge. However, they did agree to replace it if I supply the emblem. So I will order my own and have them do the work...

Some dealers replace all the badges when the cars arrive on their lots so you might get lucky and the car they locate for you just might have the badge replaced... Great deal you got and hope they put you in the car soon. Post up some pics when they do!

Thanks! My wife is the secret weapon...she's outstanding at negotiating.

88 miles were on the odometer. Does that seem a tad bit high? I don't mind either way. I'm enjoying the heck out of this car!

It seems that some SoCal (or maybe all) dealers have $500 factory vouchers that they can apply toward the purchase on behalf of the customer. They are use it or lose it and seem to be tied to a specific month. Since it was the 30th when I bought the car and they would expire soon, the dealer threw some of those my way. That probably helped make the good price.

Depends. If it was a DX (dealer transfer), those could be some of the miles. Mine had a little over 100, but I knew where they transferred it from and that was over half of those miles. Most of the dealers do not just let Genesis test drives as freely as other models.

good morning group, im new to the board and have been enjoying the information on this thread. Im in Little Rock, Arkansas and shopping for a 3.8 AWD with either the Tech or Ultimate package on it. I will be buying it. I drive to much for work to lease. Either package is fine, Im just looking for the best over-all deal. 1.9% rate is a lock. Doing some quick math, it seems most people are getting 12-15% off LIST MSRP. Im trying to figure out all hidden hold backs, 'trunk cash' to the dealer on the sale of these higher end Hyundais. There is always hidden incentives for dealers they are not willing to reveal. Remember, I am in Arkansas so these cars do not sell everyday in this area and the dealers love to see guys like me walk in the door.

According to Motegi:

3.8 AWD MSRP Invoice 3% dealer holdback from MSRP Competitive Coupon Price
TECH $48,950 $45,753 $1468.50 $1000 $43,284.50
Ultimate $52,450 $48,938 $1573.50 $1000 $46,364.50

what am I missing ?? thoughts? Thanks for the feedback

Ron Carter Hyundai in Houston was taking $7000 off of all their Genesis stock. There's the $1000 competitive owner as well as a $500 military discount. Beyond that, there isn't much aside from $1500 lease cash that you won't qualify for since you will not be leasing.

At this point in the model year, if the dealer is not taking $6000+ off of their Genesis stock, I'd walk from that dealership.

Need a little help, especially from the Indianapolis area folks....

Heart set on the AWD w/Ultimate.

Used one locally with just north of 7k miles...suspect i can get for 41, but is not the color i want and has a few scratches (and i'm anal about my cars).

Seems like Terry Lee in Noblesville is the dealer doing the best deals locally - thoughts on what kind of deal i could walk out of there right now ?
i qualify for the competitive rebate, but that's about it (apparently no bonus cash offers in the future).

is 41k for a gently used awd ultimate a good deal?
can i pay a little more and get what i want ? looking to buy, not lease if that matters

To "pull up" a little - any input on what type of standard discounts folks are seeing in general for a AWD ultimate in terms of dealer discount are welcomed...i've read 6k is a safe assumption - still true ?

I got, what I consider a pretty phenomenal deal. 5.0 Ultimate package for under $40k with only 42 test-drive miles on it. Never titled, never owned, but it was marked as "used". I jumped without a second thought.
Absolute Hyundai in Mesquite, Texas. It was apparently the first 2015 model they received in 2014, and it was continually shuffled around the lot as everyone wanted white/gray/black. The Monticeto Blue however, just remained hidden.

Great price! I could easily choose the Monticeto Blue myself. Does the fact that the dealer sold the car to you as used affect the new car warranty?

I am interested in the 2015 RWD with the tech package. Have the cash to buy it outright and have never leased a car. However, it was suggested to me that it would be less expensive to lease and buy the car at the termination of the lease (I plan to drive no more than 10k miles per year). Sounds completely counter intuitive to me. Any insights?

Also, how much should I expect to pay in October with the 2016s coming soon? and should I expect to save a lot more ($400+) if I wait until early December?

I am in the Las Vegas area. thanks.

An astounding deal. I was thinking that my target of $45k otd for a 2015 5.0 Ultimate might be too aggressive. I too prefer white or silver but I'd suffer blue for another $5k off. I assume the 2016s will be $6-7k more expensive on net.

I can get a 3.8 rear dr. ultimate empire grey with ivory interior for $25k plus my 2012 gen premium out the door. Is this a good price with 2016s 2 weeks away?
Last ivory on lot. MELLOW 2012 PREMIUM WITH 21,OOO mi.

With the lease cash as well as sub-1% money factor, the math favored leasing and then purchasing at lease end recently. Run a spreadsheet and see how much you pay after a finance only at 4-5 years and a lease and then short finance - rates will probably be higher going forward which will effect both ends of the deal. Paying all cash up front may be a different story.

This is easily the best deal in the thread, hands down. Congrats!
