Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

The E-Plan is going away on the 31st! All dealer inventory will receive a final pay on all 2015's. Basically, there will simply be inflated dealer cash on these cars. I don't know how these will be moved from here on out because these final pays are going to have considerably less discounts than the E-Plan. This is just a heads up for any of you guys out there that are waiting out your dealer.

How do you know about this? Just curious.

Also let's say that this is true and dealers are not going to give BIG discounts... In LA theres at least 3 dealers that still have 30+ 2015's in their lots... I'm sure they will try and still give a significant discount on the 15's... Otherwise what will happen to those vehicles?

Hi all, new to the forum. Just bought a 2015 5.0 (Casablanca White w/ black interior) that was a dealer demo with about 4,400 miles. Purchase price was about $37,400 + tax/tag. Car was titled new.

Got it tinted with 18% on the rear and 25% on the front, removed the Genesis and 5.0 badges, and the car came with the wing badge on the back. No other mods planned... yet. Loving it so far! :D

OK so narrowed my options - found a white 2015 AWD with all the options, CPO with 11,000 miles on it, for $36800. Fair price?

Got them down to 34, no issues from what I can tell apart from the pano roof noise. Not too bad, and they said they'd fix it. Should pull the trigger by dinner time woooo

Final pay on the 2015's is $6,500 bucks off of invoice for all 6 cylinders. The dealer still retains the holdback which ranges from $1,250 to $1,600 (depending on trim) plus whatever admin they collect. Dealers that sell these invoice minus final pay minus holdback are genuinely only making admin. Depending on the trim, this final pay will be $2K - $4K more than the E-Plan. I'm not talking about financing flats or service contracts. Some of you will find this hard to believe, but Hyundai HAS washed its hands of the '15 Genesis sedan and coupe. The same was done for the '15 elantra/azera/accent etc. It's makes them incredibly hard to sell unless the dealer wants to take a bath or we just run into an uneducated buyer.

Ok, so let me get this straight...

2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 Ultimate invoices at $46.619 (according to Edmunds)

$6,500 + $1,600 = $8.100
$46,619 - $8.100 = $38.519 so this is the amount i can expect to pay for a new Genesis now at a dealership? (Ultimate 3.8 RWD)

Sorry if it seems dumb to ask, but i just wanted to make sure i know what i should be aiming for.

With the E-Plan, the dealers had no skin in the game by selling them for $12K-$14K off because Hyundai reimbursed them for every penny and most of the time they were actually making a bit of money.

I think that you get there all day without a fight, but you will have to work to move them lower because they are losing real money at that point. Every ownership group is different, so some dealerships could be given supplemental cash to rid themselves of the 2015's. Ours will not and we are the second largest in the country.

Do they even offer leasing on the 2015's anymore?

Also, all I've been seeing is 36 month lease offers, do they offer a 24 month option?

If they do, residual would be messed up, in the 30-40% range I would think

I think what's important to note is that it depends on market (where you live) and how many 2015s are left in stock with those options/colors. If a dealer has 5 Ultimate RWD in stock, and 10 Signature, then they will be more desperate to get rid of them than a dealer who is down to their last one.

I got mine for $37k about a month and a half ago (Ultimate RWD). There was only one left available after mine, and it had 8k miles and was a loaner. I did get them down from $38,500, but I made up some stuff like "I really don't need an Ultimate, and this other dealer has signature for $34k, because for me the upgrade to Ultimate is really only worth about $3k" etc. "You are only giving me $7k for my trade in, and my wife and I agreed I won't walk out of there paying more than $30k net." So I had to work hard to get that extra bit out of them.

So find out what their stock is and what the other local Hyundai dealers (if there are any in the area) have available. Compare prices, options, colors, etc. Then that will give you a better idea how much bargaining power you have.

They have leasing on the '15s still but you should steer clear. The MF and residuals are atrocious.
