  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

Ernie, you should thank me for a great road test. I did not miss treat the car it was up a driveway and off the curbs. It has a much better suspension than generation one.(you could Not notice the curb jumping)
I,m thinking of getting a ultimate, I believe it has a even better suspension.
Could someone confirm this info?
V8 Ultimate has an adjustable suspension. I don't believe that is available on the V6 Ultimate. Most reviewers said they preferred the non-adjustable suspension a little bit more.

I've had a dealer say they can beat the Circle pricing. Haven't tested that out yet, but just may see if they really do.

trotti -- Thanks again for the detailed feedback between the 2012 Rspec vs 2015 Genesis 5.0. How about the extra weight the 2015 has. Does that extra 500 pounds make the 2015 feel sluggish, or does the weight not even bother the 2015? On my initial drive with the 2015 5.0, the car just felt a lot bigger due to the extra 500 pounds of weight. I'll drive it again, and see how it feels. Thanks for your feedback. Regards, Dan

Describing the heaviness of a car is tough for me. I also drive a 53 year old British sports car that doesn't weigh much more than a motorcycle and it can't take a curve at speed to save its life. I get the impression that the '15 is "flat" through curves, doesn't roll and comes out of them nimbly. The car accelerates quickly (but I've not gotten out of the break in period so I haven't really mashed the gas yet) and doesn't seem sluggish. I think the real difference is in the responsiveness of the transmission. It shifts quickly and doesn't lag in the way the '12 sometimes would. In short, I don't notice the 500 pounds at all. It drives differently, yes, but it doesn't seem heavy to me. More than anything, I notice it's increased size and the feeling of being larger rather than the increased weight.

Everything Trotti stated about the difference of the two models was spot on IMO.

Don't forget that any customer rebates are on top of the circle pricing. Just saying... If they beat your circle pricing by a whopping 500 and you are eligible for an owner rebate, then you are handing them over a 500 profit.

Any dealer that offers Circle Pricing, can beat Circle Pricing. But the question is "by how much"? All they have to do is get the Circle pricing and then discount a few dollars more.

Almost traded my R-spec in for a '15 5.0 Ultimate. Couldn't find the color combo that I wanted and disliked the fact that 5.0 Ultimate doesn't come with Heated Rear Seats, the lack of Bi-Xenons w/ LED turn signals and Around-View Monitoring System.

So I'm just going to wait until 1) 5.0 Ultimate AWD (Canada gets them so why not in the US?) or R-Spec is available 2) aforementioned items are available.

Anyway, the one (Ibiza Blue) I looked at had MSRP of $55,830.00 and after all the discount I get, I was looking at $39,731.80 before tax.

Rspec --- you were looking at a MSRP of $55,830. You said you could get the car for $39,731.80 after getting your discounts. Did you mean to type $49,731.80?

If you were getting the car for $39,731.80, how was that possible??? Does that price include trading in your Rspec??? Regards.

I am getting pricing offers for around $49,885 on a 2015 Genesis Ultimate 5.0 car that has an MSRP of $55,770. I am waiting on my finances to get in order before I can pull the trigger.

No, it wasn't a typo.

Employee discount gets it down to 41k + motozuma ($500) + Hyundai Loyalty Discount ($1,000) = $39,781.80. This price doesn't include trading in my R-Spec.

Just put a deposit down on a 2015 3.8 awd ultimate package black on black with cargo tray and first aid kit. Should be here in two weeks

MSRP $52,580
My price $47,770 minus a trade in for a 2011 Genesis 4.6 $21,000 = $26,770 + tax, tag and title.

Damn it, how do you guys get so much for your trade in... I have a perfect 2010 4.6 Tech with only 33.5K on it, and the best number I got was 19.5... Never went for it anyway.

trot -- Thats what i guess i am feeling ... that the car is a lot bigger which it is not, just longer wheel base, but same length within 0.2 inch. But again to me it seems way heavier. Since it is not longer, it must be the extra 500 pounds of weight i feel.

Guess i need to drive it for the 4th time. !st 3 times was driving it with no sales person, but now they gave me saleman to ride with me since the other sales guy who just gave me the car to take on my own. Regards.

Could it be that the quote you replied to was a year newer car so he got $1500 more for it? Just a guess ;)

I purchased a 3.8 RWD Ultimate today for $45,396.35 minus $1000 loyalty discount, total of $44,396.35. The car included a cargo tray, wheel locks, cargo net, first aid kit and bumper protection film. MSRP including the accessories was $50,205.00
