  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

Stirling McCall, was getting similar price quoted from North Freeway Hyundai, Both Hub Hyundai quoted a great price on car but added 2300 in dealer extras, I hate those tactics, so it came down to Sterling and North Freeway for me.

Only problem with my dealership choice is its a good 25 miles from my house.

Thank for that info. Sterling McCall is closer to me and seems to be on the up & up.

XBOHDPuKC: Yep, Ron Carter sucks with all that add-on crap. That's where I did my test drive. They are only 7 miles from my house. Of course, I would love to buy from them....but screw that. I'll definitely drive 22 miles to Sterling for the best deal. ;-)

You can get your car serviced at any dealer.

I realize this but I find that if you use a dealership that you have purchased a car from yo generally get better service as they appreciate your business more, hope to develop a long term relationship with.

For those looking to go to Sterling, ask for Daniel (internet sales, young guy, very knowledgeable, not pushy) good luck get a great car and a great deal.

Wow, I thought this thread was about prices ;)

I was looking at the web-site for a dealer in the Houston area the other day. They are quoting every 2015 at over $5000 discount. I say every, I only looked at the 5.0 cars, but I think some of the V6's were around $5000 off as well.

Be careful of those prices, they quote generic low and add dealer costs after. My advice to you is to contact the internet sales manager directly get them to quote the out the door price and include all costs. Then compare prices.

I'm not a buyer right now so no need. I've bought lots of cars and walked out of many dealers who do stuff like that. I will try to look into it though.

In an ideal world, perhaps. However, in most dealerships the sales and service folks don't mix enough to give a damn. Service managers run their own kingdoms and are always happy for one more customer. Add to that the number of folks who move and need a new dealer near their new home location. In my case, when I take my car in for service the sales guys who I did not buy from are either no longer there, or they have forgotten who the hell I am. I saved at least one thousand dollars by buying my car a few hundred miles away from my house. I'll take that kind of benefit every time. I gave my local dealer the chance and he blew it. By the way, the local dealer's service has been very good.

Purchased 2015 Genesis 5.0 Ultimate
Black with Ivory interior.

$55750
$1000 loyalty

Sold 2012 R-Spec for $29000, 40k miles.

Love this new car, its slow though compared to the R-Spec however the technology and ride compensate. I live in GA and had to drive to IL to get the car, dealership could only find three 5.0 in inventory the first week of May! First day owning the car i took a 750m trip back to GA. I have to say the CC/LKA is very cool, the car actually drives its self!

Watch the empty car convoy on youtube if you have not seen it yet!

I agree. I have bought many cars a long way from where I live. To your point, the service department is actually the biggest profit center for a dealer, usually by far. Do you really think sales is going to dictate how they treat customers? Frankly, it doesn't even make any sense that you would get better service from the dealer you bought it from unless you know the GM of the dealership (I do, and he can help me out). But if you are just dealing with a salesperson, you are just one of thousands of people a year they sell a new car to.

I gave my local dealer two months to get my car and then I drove 400 miles for a better deal. I too have been very pleased with the local dealer's service.
