  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

Appears the offers are regional. Type in different zipcodes and see the changes between $1500 Conquest lease and $1000 Competitive owner.

I'm having trouble finding clarification regarding the $1500 lease cash however.

Read the seller's feedback, rated at "-1" . This appears to be a scam. The listing also details free shipping to anywhere in the USA. That sure doesn't sound right either. . .

Doc

UPDATE: eBay has pulled this auction, so obviously it was a scam

Doctor, thank you for checking that out, it definitely smelled fishy...

Need some help/opinions before I buy.

Walked out of the dealership with my new car yesterday :)

2015 - 3.8 Base Genesis
Casablanca White w/ Grey Interior with Genesis wings in the rear.
MSRP: $39,010
Got an amazing lease with the combination of college, conquest rebate, Circle pricing, TrueCar, and dealer-rebates.

36 months lease
12k miles a year

$300/mo including tax.
$795 drive-off (DMV-fee's and first monthly payment).

Had to drive to Orange County from San Diego to pick up my car, but definitively worth it!

I bought the AWD V6 Ultimate. Manhattan Brown with the light tan. Paid $52-ish less various sorts of little incentives that I cant recall. I'm not a 'details' man. My 36 month lease is $570 a month no money down. They changed the rear badge for me, removed the Genesis and 3.8 badge, gave me a Genesis ashtray and removed the front number plate support in a way not to see the holes. They also put mudflaps on for free. Super, super helpful but then maybe someone here will say I paid too much. Oh well, who cares; I love the car!

I've been looking for a decent lease deal on a 2015 Genesis AWD Ultimate. In New England, I seem to be getting all sorts of different numbers. Anyone out there find a good deal?

Also, does anyone know if Hyundai will pay a dealer to finish off a lease? I've only got a few payments left and some dealers seem all for it and others won't even talk about it. :)

Talk to the larger dealerships in your area. Here in Texas, the larger dealerships seem to be doing the whole "paying your last 3 payments" deal. They say that it is a "special" thing that have setup through Hyundai since they are high volume dealers. The smaller dealerships that I was in contact with apparently do not have these privileges.

My problem with leases has been what could be termed "liquidity" in the financial world.

When you get rid of a purchased vehicle - you have options - gifting the car, selling, trading, or whatever.

When you return a leased vehicle, you are forced to go back to a dealer - ok if your dealer is honest.

I took a Ford Taurus back to the nearest dealer - they wanted a $500 processing fee, a $500 "Ford fee" (???), and probably would have kept the damage deposit - another $500 - if I let it go that far.

I went to a country dealer and turned the car in with no problems.

Moral: Think ahead - you will be returning the car someday.

Congrats! They voluntarily gave you a much higher discount than any of the other dealers? Sounds strange to me even if the sales and finance guys wanted to move another car before the end of the month to hit a quota.

DFW, What was the money factor used to get you to $395/ month?

AWM: Thanks! I guess I got lucky. They didn't know what other dealers were offering me.

Greekgeek: I have no idea what money factor they used. I have the lease documents in front of me but I don't see money factor anywhere. I just wanted no or little money down and payment less than $430. My credit is excellent. Car will be delivered tomorrow at my home and I can ask the sale guy about MF.

That is really odd. I have yet to meet a car sales guy who is told a target number (e.g. $430/month) and then comes back with something significantly lower (e.g. $395). I hope for you that there is no hidden charge somewhere. Did you trade in another car?

AWM: Man you assume a lot! $430(my G37 lease that I am replacing) was in my mind .....I never told them anything about $430. Ultimate package was close to $480....so I didn't take it. First offer I got was $410......we settled at $395.

No trade.
