  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

AWM: Man you assume a lot! $430(my G37 lease that I am replacing) was in my mind .....I never told them anything about $430. Ultimate package was close to $480....so I didn't take it. First offer I got was $410......we settled at $395.

No trade.

Got it! Just wondering, you got 20% off MSRP but are unsure whether you got a good/great deal?

OK, then. Consider yourself extremely lucky that you engaged in negotiations without being sure what a good/great deal is but were still able to walk out with a great deal.

I'm going to take a guess that he did know what a good/great deal was but posted here wanting to know how good/great 'his' deal was compared to good/great deals other people got here. ;)

My problem with leases has been what could be termed "liquidity" in the financial world.

When you get rid of a purchased vehicle - you have options - gifting the car, selling, trading, or whatever.

When you return a leased vehicle, you are forced to go back to a dealer - ok if your dealer is honest.

I took a Ford Taurus back to the nearest dealer - they wanted a $500 processing fee, a $500 "Ford fee" (???), and probably would have kept the damage deposit - another $500 - if I let it go that far.

I went to a country dealer and turned the car in with no problems.

Moral: Think ahead - you will be returning the car someday.

Yeah, you're right. It really a twisted process to start and end. It's important to know your numbers and what you can negotiate! Thanks for the reply.

So strange! I was on the Hyundai site this morning and for about 10 minutes the new incentives were available. As far as I could tell, the May 2015 incentives looked the same as April. I checked again and they are gone!

edit: And they are back! Looks the same as April.

Lease starting at $329/month for 36 months. $3,999 due at lease signing. Excludes registration, tax, title and license. (5/1/2015 - 5/4/2015)
Low APR 1.9% financing for up to 60 months, 3.9% for 72 months (5/1/2015 - 5/4/2015)
90 Day Deferred Payment option on terms up to 60 months. (5/1/2015 - 5/4/2015)
$1,000 Valued Owner Coupon Offer (5/1/2015 - 5/4/2015)

It's worth noting that these rebates are only valid until May 4th.

Any thought why they only go until 5/4?

All the incentives for all their models appear to expire on 5/4. That means a new set of incentives will rollout and with the new models in the fall, they likely could good be better, depending on dealer inventory and how will a model is moving.

Let's hope they are even better then the Feb, March incentives.

$42,400 for pre-owned 2015 5.0 ultimate black/ivory with 3917 miles on it. just saw it on autotrader last sunday, after spending 4 hrs w/ another dealer on Saturday that was trying to put me in the same thing for 53,500. just got my free continentals, so it's basically a brand new car, at least it pretty much is after I change the cabin filter and oil.

Great deal...!;)

I was quoted a new Genesis V6 RWD Ultimate at net lease cost of $41,900.

What should be the lease money factor and residual for 36m/10K miles per year lease?

If I have top tier credit and live in Santa Clara county of CA, what should be the estimated monthly payment?

Thank you for the help.

Shopping for a 3.8 RWD with tech package. Offered $42500 by one dealer - in writing - includes $1000 rebate. Went home and priced on TrueCar for $41800 - same dealer. Called salesperson who told me TrueCar does not include $950 destination fee. TrueCar site says it is included best I can tell. Called another dealer who said he can beat the first dealer's price by at least $300. Planning to go in next weekend, which is first chance I will have. Any thoughts or competitive intel? I am in CT/NY about 50 miles north of NYC. Also, worth waiting until later this month for better deal? New incentives due out today/tomorrow too?

Jumpinjo, I would definitely wait until Memorial Day Weekend.

New member here...Just picked up my white Genesis 3.8 RWD with Tech and Signature package:

MSRP: $46,605
Final Price: $38,067
Rebates: $1500 lease cash, $1500 conquest lease, $400 college grad
Money Factor: 0.00041
Residual: 60%
Mileage: 10k per year
Down-payment: $595 aquisition fee + first months

Monthly payments: $337 ($308 + $29 WA tax)

I think I got a really good deal given that the final price was 18% less than MSRP. Negotiated between two dealers in WA state and ended up with one who did not hassle over money factor and knew all the rebates available.

Thoughts?

Thanks! I thought of waiting for the May deals but the price I was getting, it was tough to not pull the trigger :) Now have to replace the rear badge and get the recalls taken care of.

Congrats on your new ride and :welcome: to the forum. According to the TSB on the taillight recall, dealer is suppose to take care of all cars on lot before selling them. See if your dealer took care of this already.
