If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

Great deal.

Think you got their Circle price; dealers get that once in a while!

Well done. Congrats and welcome

Hyundai Genesis 5.0.. 38k OTD

Wow! That is the lowest i have ever heard off....Congrats!

How did you negotiate that? Need you to negotiate my next car purchase :-)

What state? For example, in OR, there is no Tax, and incremental cost after the car price is about $300 for registration, etc; but in CA, it is about 10% add on for tax & reg

Purchased 2015 3.8 Ultimate AWD in December 2015. Dealers may cut deeper as 2016's are trickling in. Paid $45,600. Price included $2000 in manufacturer rebates.

Used Edmunds.com to get quotes from all of the local dealers. Then I went to the closest dealer and showed the quotes from others to encourage him to go as low as he could.

Sounds in line with the price quotes I received 2 weeks ago. In fact, several places said the best they could do on the 2015 AWD Tech was $44-45K.

I also could only get 45k for base v8 2015(similar sticker price) and I had to drive 270 miles one way to pick her up. No dealer in area would even give me close to that deal. It's like 2k under invoice so I'm happy. some of the people on here really got awesome deals, I wish I had a few of you with me when negotiations were taking place.

Picked mine up a few days ago... 40,900 +TTL for an AWD tech package, plus extended warranty for full 10/100k thrown in. I'm pretty happy!

Mine was a 2015 5.0 base, purchased just before the end of the year. Salesperson (Orlando area dealer) told me they received a few corporate coupons, allowing for $14,000 discount off MSRP. Final price was approximately $38,500 less trade-in + TTL.

I paid $52,500 after $1,000 loyalty and $500 military discount. I have one of the very first one that hit the Atlanta market and had no negotiating power. Oh well, went from Mercedes to Genesis and never looked back. Very happy with the car.

Here in Europe, my fully fully loaded 3.8 V6 HTRAC costs me around 56000 EURO + free of charge technical maintenance for 5 years.

Big problem in EU is that they want to downsize the engines every new year ... the normal size is 1.4-2.0 inline 4 cylinders engines sometimes with a turbo, no matter diesel or petrol. They even are pointing 1.2 turbo-petrol engine as a normal one.
The 3.8 V6 is a huge engine for the understandings of the EU governments, so here we don't have 5.0 :)

In talking of premium, Audi is selling most of their cars in EU with 3.0 TDI (turbo-diesel) engine, which is around 300hp. There are some 4.2 TDI engines, but they are thought as large ones.
Petrol engines are not mostly preferred in some parts of Europe, because diesel is cheaper due to internal government regulations.

Now that sounds like a pretty killer deal! Congrats

I would think diesel is starting to look less favorable in Europe after the VW scandal....

lobsenza,
I think it is not like that because not much from the ordinary consumers cares about the polution their diesels make.
The primary thing they care to be cheaper to drive...
About the VW scandal, I think every one company is making something to align with the hard EURO6 standard and the cheapest way is the software :)

It's all a big joke, I drive 11 liter v6 cummins in my semitruck and I haven't shut my truck off in 6 days. I find it funny that I'm getting 7 MPG but they want to jump on vw for their fraudulent software. In America if you go buy an f250 or 2500 it will tell you they don't have to publish MPG but god forbid you have a diesel engine in your car. My main point is I bet the vw pollution is less then a v8 hellcat or my friends ram 2500 cummins. Then they tried making car manufacturers use DEF to help fight the pollution of diesel engines which is even a bigger joke. This is what happens when you have epa making laws, who cares if they poison rivers by blowing up gold mines it's all about those pesky diesel engines.

So ... got an offer for just a little over $40K for AWD ultimate 3.8. I wasn't really looking to buy for at least 6 months, but wondering if this deal is something that is too good to pass up.
Not the color I am looking for, and had not even fully decided on genesis yet. But seems like price point is trying to tip me in that direction. Of course probably have to act fast and just not sure if ready.

What do you think?

Brand new? It sounds like a really good deal but I would say that with such a major purchase, get the one you really want even if it costs a bit more.
