In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Price Paid For 2015 Genesis

I don't think this ($35,308) is a good deal. if it's $33K (Vehicle Sales Price), this is a deal.

Just curious, what qualifies you to determine if this is a good deal or not? What's your opinion based on?

I'm genuinely curious, not trying to say your opinion is not valid ...

Have you read previous pages from here? Somebody got good deal up to $14K off. So Why not $13K off?

I'd have to agree, E-pricing (employee pricing) was readily available at the end of Feb and members were routinely getting $12k+ off MSRP on a 3.8 RWD tech.

I personally had a deal worked out for $33,075 on a 3.8 RWD tech back in late Feb (sticker of $46,635).

With the OP being in NY I'd think a RWD is less desirable and they'd be willing to negotiate further with 2017s coming soon.

Maybe I'm biased due to the abundance of deals here in Texas, but this is just my 2-cents.

I just bought a new 2015 5.0L last weekend for $36,068 + taxes. Plus, the dealer paid the last three lease payments on my 2013 5.0 R-Spec and waived the $400 disposition fee.

The 2015 that I bought was a manager's demo and had 1000 miles on it.

The sticker price on the car was ~$52,700.

I did read the previous pages, and somewhere on this forum a Hyundai dealership sales person mentioned that Hyundai was giving additional discounts (up to $2,500) to the dealers until the end of February (?) in form of coupons and other incentives - some of which were regional. These have ended, so the dealers have less ability to lower the prices without losing money on a vehicle.

Following the logic you apply, someone who buys an item after the Black Friday super offers are gone is also getting a bad deal - some sales are temporary due to extra discounts from the manufacturer of an item.

I don't claim to understand the pricing issues, and they are influenced by many factors. It sounds like my guess is as good as yours based on actual insight into current sales incentives and other discounts.

That's a F-ing awesome. With your statement, I can negotiate for my '16 Gen 3.8 Ultimate. After shopping for few months on cars, I finally make my decision on '16 Gen because I think it has all bell and whistle I need for a reasonable price comparing to other brands.

Here are a list of cars I was looking but fail:
1) BMW M3 - Nice engine, aggressive exterior, but interior is horrible and outdated. It's being like that for years, nothing change.
2) Mercedes C450 AMG - Look great and luxury. One thing turned me off is the Navigation. If you want red seat, no heated/cool seat.
3) Lexus GS350 Fsport - everything in this car is about the same with '16 Gen but why $10K different. Not worth it.

From my research it appears there are great deals on the 2015 v8 5.0 models with some going for as low as $36- $38k. The 3.8's have been creeping lower and there are definitely great deals to be had but you have to work harder to find them (compared to the 5.0's). I'm torn between getting a 2015 now or waiting to see what kind of great deals will be available in late summer when the G80's come out and dealers get desperate to get rid of the 15%16's.

That shopping list is pretty far from the Genesis in almost all areas. If you were even considering an M3, the Genesis is about as far from that car as it gets. The Genesis is a great bargain, but if you are looking at hat stable of performance first cars, the heavy, sedate Hyundai will disappoint, even as good as it is.

Just got a certified 2015 3.8 Ultimate with 20k miles for $32,000. Absolutely LOVING the car!

glassman hyundai in Michigan have some great deals on 2016 but refuse to sell out of state.

im waiting to get into a preowned base model for 20k. hopefully it happens soon.

How is this possible? Is this a taste of what is soon to come for 2016's everywhere? Any other dealers with similar prices?

How much of that was rebates vs discount. I'm trying to work a similar deal.

The car was advertised for around $38K. I had been looking for a new Genesis for a few weeks since my lease was coming up.

I am not exactly sure how much was rebate and how much was discount. The dealership owner told me the story on the car. He bought it at auction -- apparently another dealer had it as a manager's demo (the window sticker has "Joe Something's Demo" on it). While it had never been titled, it was advertised and sold like a used car. He had some room in the car.

He said that they had to argue with Hyundai to be able to offer the E-plan pricing on it.

There was another dealer in Cincinnati offering a 5.0 for something like $37,500. I asked for the best price from each dealer before I drove the several hours to pick up the car.

I saw another post in the "pictures of your 2015 Genesis" thread that mentioned getting a 2015 5.0 Genesis for $38K out the door, which is about $1000 less than what I paid out the door, but the poster didn't specify if it was new or used.

Good luck!

Just bought a 2016 RWD 3.8L Genesis yesterday in LA. I got the Signature package MSRP of 43,500 (actually $46,500 as the dealer had added on an alarm system and already removed back hyundai symbol and replaced with genesis symbol and a couple other small things that they placed value to 46,500.. but the package itself is Signature).

The big deal for me was the 60 months 0.0% apr financing that Hyundai is currently offering on qualified Genesis buyers. Unfortunately could not combine with the $1000 Valued Owner incentive. I was able to come out at $39,250 (was not easy to negotiate) with 0 down and the 0% financing for 5 years. Felt more than fair for such a beautiful car.

I see a lot of dealers in the LA area slashing prices finally for the 2015 models, specially the 5.0's.... it's about time!!
