I was looking to get another Genesis for the wife and wile looking for deals I came across what appeared to be great deals in the same dealership I bought my Genesis. They have discounts of up to 11k of MSRP.....any thoughts as to what's wrong with this promotion

They have quite the inventory of 2015 Genesis. If you can get $11k off MSRP, you're doing quite well. You might want to buy 2 or 3 more at that price :D

Geez - they still have 45 of the 2015's in inventory. That explains why I rarely ever see another G2 on the road - sort of hard to believe it's selling very well with that much inventory of last years model still unsold at just 1 dealer???

I know where I will be buying my 2020 Genesis 3.3TT at.

Complete smoke and mirrors seeing as no one will ever qualify for every rebate under the sun.

Also, the terms and conditions are very entertaining.

What a joke of a dealer...

$14k straight off the top for their 5.0's, WOW! That alone is impressive let alone if you qualify for any rebates...

Well I bought one yesterday at 29,600. It was a base without sunroof and non of the tilting steering wheel and no mirror tilting. After my trade in I ended up with 14,600 to finance. It was the red colored one which my wife wanted. The dealers was pretty good he didn't add the 2100 in dealer add ons which the vehicle had tints and some kind of plastic in the front hood and side fairings for protection from chips and scratches

what did u get for your trade in ?

15k.... For a 2014 mpala LS with 20k miles. I checked KBB for the trade in value and it was from 14-16 so 15 seemed pretty good. On another note SAMMY posted above about the rebates which true enough are not available for the vehicles that have the highest amount of discounts

My father purchased a '15 5.0 base for 14K off sticker last week in Austin. I am in the Dallas area and all the 5.0 are 14K off as well. I have them looking for a 5.0 Ultimate in black over grey for myself. Dealer says they just can't move them and Hyundai is doing some "employee" ultimate pricing special. He also said they have some 5.0 that have been on the lot for 500+ days...

I am pricing both 2015 3.8 AWD and 5.0 ultimate.
I've been offered $14k+ off msrp on 5.0 in TX, and $12,500 off 3.8 AWD with all 3 option packages in TN.
None of my local dealers are anywhere near these discounts.
Even with shipping I will come out ahead by a large margin.

Would you care to help a fellow Genny lover out and PM me the details for this dealer? I am looking for a 5.0 Base or Ultimate in the same price range.

How much more are the Ultimate's over the Base with these deals? Are there a lot of rebates which you may or may not qualify for or does pricing apply across the board?

On "employee" discount you can not apply any rebates because of the deep discount. At least it didn't apply when i purchased my wife's car but if you can get the dealer to use rebates then that will be more $ off the car.

Hi all -- new guy here ... Just purchased a 3.8L AWD Ultimate today! Parisian Gray w/Black ... It has 2K miles on it. I secured it for $38.3 (no TTL because I'm registering in a state that only charges $250 for that).

Call Shea Benedict at Huffines Hyundai in Plano, TX. I didn't get mine there because he didn't have any 3.8s left, but this guy is the most personable sales guy I've ever talked too. He helped me out tremendously and I know he'll help you too. I'd suggest calling him if you want a 5.0 since he told me that they're all like $14.5K off right now and he has A LOT of them in both base + ultimate. Somewhere in the $41K range ... Incredible deals out there right now if you are willing to travel ... It was definitely worth it to me!!!

Great deal; congrats!

I was in touch with another sales guy at Huffines, Tommy M i think. All the 5.0 Ultimates he had were high mileage demos (5K-6K Miles); for about $41500. I liked the price; hated the high miles on a demo....so had to skip.

What dealer did you get yours at? do they have any new v8 Ultimates? Thanks

I was working with Van Hyundai out of Carrollton and they were unable to find the Ultimate I wanted, plus they were totally incompetent. So I am looking at a non Ultimate elsewhere. It seems that a lot of the Ultimates are either demo units or were driven by the dealers.

While I can't say anything nice about Van, the test car I drove was a Black over Ivory that had 43 miles on it. I think they have a couple of them left. But the one I drove had fingerprints and smudges all over the place, so make them clean it. Good luck!

Small world heh? I was working with them last month on a 5.0 lease and it was like pulling teeth when trying to get the specifics of the deal out of them. If they still have the White one that I was interested in but with the new pricing that you mentioned, then I may give them a second look.

Looks like I will be getting a Black on Grey 5.0 later today...I will keep the location a secret for now in case someone gets any bright ideas :-) It has ~700 miles on it which is much less than most.

And on another dealer rant... Vandergriff Hyundai has a Black on Grey 5.0 showing as new. I called them up and the sales guy said "being a 2015 they all have some miles on them". I had to make him go find the keys and turn on the stupid ignition to let me know how many miles it actually had. He called up an hour later and said, "3000". Then proceeded to make the hard sell about how it had a warranty and what was my problem with miles, blah...blah. I know Hyundai wants the Genesis/Equus to be a premium buying experience, but the vast majority of these guys seem to act like they are selling 3 Elantras to you. No wonder they can't get rid of them at full price.
