  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Location: Van Nuys, CA
Model: Base 3.8 L , no packages, dealer added Trunk Cargo tray, mudguards

Price: $32,000 - 1500 competitor owner rebate - 1000 for financing with Hyundai - $500 Motozuma rebate = $29,000. plus TTL.
Extended warranty 10 year/100,000 miles + $1700.

Considering it was Memorial day weekend, I feel I could've gotten a better deal, but I didn't want to spend more than the 45 min it took going back and forth w/ salesman and manager. Somehow, a few days after the purchase, the dealer wanted to change the extended warranty provider from Century Automotive to a policy handled directly by Hyundai. Anybody have an experience like that ??

Hyundai warranty is very good IMO. And dealer indocated when you sell, you can get a refund for the balance or transfer to next owner.. Has some long range towing perks.

That's very useful information. Thank you. I made an offer to a local dealer for $39,500 and he didn't take it. Obviously, that offer has now been pulled. Time to go to $38,500.

I was advised to never make an offer, make them compete and provide you their offer, make it known to all of the players, the lowest offer at the end of the day, giving every player one more shot at bidding below that offer and the best bid wins on tomorrow by close of business. Man, that method really
works! Just keep the dealers annonymous from each other, as those jokers will try to get you to tell. ;)

Good deal.

We bought the same car ('12 V-6 with tech) but it was new. Paid $37,500. Financed 72 mos @ .99% APR.

Model: 2013 V6 with Technology Package
Price Paid: $40,035 (sticker: $45,348)
Date: 07/05/2013
Color: Pearl Black ext. Black interior.
Mileage: 20
State: FL

Buy/Lease: Buy
Down Payment: $5K trade-in of 2006 Sonata (V6). This car had been modified to be a tow car behind a motor home so the front had a lot of, uh, "stuff" on it.
Financing %: 1.9%
Financing term: 72 months
Rebate: Veteran Rebate $500 + $1000 customer loyalty + $1000 for using Hyundai finance + $1000 value customer (or something like that!) Got $3,500 total in rebates.
FL tax - $2,381

Dealer installed options: wheel locks, wing kit for wheels and trunk, some freakin charges for 7 year "protection package"
Warranty or Protection Plan : ECP Plus and Auto Armor extra for me.

Usually don't buy all the "upsale" protection packages, but as I get older, I figure why not? Let someone else wax the thing...

Guys, I am VERY new here. I do not own a Genesis but am looking. I have sent requests to dealers for a 2013 Genesis 3.8 with Tech & Premium package.....MSRP $ 44,520. Best offer I have received is from a dealer who is knocking $8,715 for a price of$35,805. Has anyone seen anything better??

That's a very good discount. To that discount you can also add their current specials:
Low APR 1.9% financing for up to 60 months, 2.9 for 72 months PLUS $1,000 Bonus Cash (8/1/2013 - 9/3/2013)
• $1,000 Retail Bonus Cash (8/1/2013 - 9/3/2013)
• $1,500 Valued Owner Coupon (8/1/2013 - 9/3/2013)
• $1,500 Competitive Owner Coupon Offer (8/1/2013 - 9/3/2013)

With $8,715 off the sticker I wonder if he has included the incentives in the discount?

Incentives could bring down the sticker price another $3K-$4K. The best I could get was $5,300 off a $45K sticker 3 weeks ago. I made the dealer install a set of wheel badges and remove the Hyundai logo off the trunk and replace it with the wings too as part of the deal.

Make sure to have black.and white exactly what that price entails. Sounds good though

Thanks guys.
He listed the following rebates as part of the total discounted price:

HMF Bonus cash: $1000
Military (applies) $500
Competitive owner: $1500
