  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Purchase Details so we all can prosper!

Just joined the Genesis family and traded in my '04 BMW 530i. Bought a 2011 3.8 fully loaded with 39,000 for $17.888 plus full extended warranty of $2,600 to cover up to 139,000 miles. Traded in my car for $4,000 (had mechanical problems) and walked out the door after including TTL, fees, and warranty for less than they were listing the car for. I'd say I got a steal because it is waayyy below blue book value. Loving every minute of driving it.

That’s exactly the car I had and traded in. Mine had 36,000 miles. It was really a good car and it served me well. Good luck with it and welcome. By the way what color is it.

My dealer has a brand new 13 black rspec sedan. What would you guys pay for it? The manager said 10k off sticker. I just walked away

2012 3.8 - Satin-White Pearl 26k miles
Tech package/Wings everywhere/Window tint
CPO + Platinum WRAP warranty

Asking $24,995 - Bought for $23,995 + TTT + Warranty + $1200 negative equity from trade in:

Final $26,500!!!!

WHEW!!! Im sooooo happy! I love the Genesis!

if you can drop it to $35K, then you'll have a really good price for new non-demo.

The color is Cabernet Red Pearl.

Really? I thought people are paying close to that on 14s. I'm surprised they have brand new 13s in stock

Joined the family. 2012 Base, 15,600 miles, CPO, plus additional 100,000 Warranty. With trade-in and down payment, $13,500 OTD. Really enjoying the "Winged" one.

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your new ride...

Tough to tell your purchase details when lumping in trade and down payment. Also exclude tax, title, and fees, as those vary state to state.

craigt I agree with your post. Every state has different taxes and licensing fees. The only was to compare apples to apples is to let everybody know what you paid for the car excluding taxes and licensing.

Yeah. I paid $6200 for my '12 Genesis tech w/15k mi AFTER trade, fees, GA title tax. What does that tell you?

Last night, picked up 2012 4.6 Genesis with 23,400 miles on it.
Black exterior, beige interior.
Interior was immaculate, exterior had couple of minor scratches (nothing too noticeable).

Paid $25,000 + tax/etc.

Of all places, I bought it from Carmax.
Couldn't find a 4.6 2012 anywhere near where I live (been looking for 3 months). Had to pay extra $149 to have Carmax transfer one from Southern California to Northern California for me.

So far, very happy with my purchase.

One thing of note.
Looks like original owner had purchased the 10year/100k mile Hyundai Platinum Protection Plan (saw the receipt in the glove compartment before Carmax sales person took it away, was told I can't have it because of personal info).
Anyone have any idea what it takes to transfer the extended warranty to me or is it not possible without the original owners consent?

Anyway, big thank you to everyone on this board. All the information I got from reading this board has help me tremendously with my purchasing decision.

I'm not sure how the HPP warranty works, but with the warranty I had from Acura, it was only transferable to a personal owner, not a company (eg. another dealership). When I traded my Acura in for the Genesis, I sold the warranty back to the issuer and received a partial refund.

Just purchased a 2011 3.8 Premium for $19,990 plus taxes and tags. Black with cashmere interior. Wife's car and all she had to have was XM and Navigation.

One of my team (employee) has spent enough time in my Genesis on work activities, he fell in love with the platform. He found a cream puff 2009 4.6 with all options and 40k. He paid $17.5k at the Hyundai dealer. Was one owner private party. And car was in consignment, so owner had to approve the sale.

FYI.

2013 3.8 base just shy of 40k

Bought direct from enterprise rental for $16000

3 days ago I purchased my 25,000 mile 2013 V6 Base as a certified car from a local Honda dealer for $17,500, this was a Enterprise rental and is as close to perfect as you can get.

Wasn’t aware that you could buy a CPO car from anyone expect a Hyundai dealer.
