  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For all those lucky folks who have acquired a new Genesis. Could you help out by sharing the following information with other forum members? Please only submit actual numbers, not what you intend to pay or heard about a friend's deal etc. Since there are only 7 basic price points (V6 Base, Premium, Plus, Tech, V8 V* Tech)we can do some great comparison shopping here and really arm our fellow members with some dynamic information if we keep it real.

• Final Negotiated Price on sales invoice applies to both Buy/Lease in almost all states. Lease is calculated off that price and may be lower than MSRP. Price should be after rebates which are listed separately. Do not include any local, state, DMV or other taxes, licenses or fees in this amount. Bottom line price on just the car itself before any financing etc. The $750 Destination charge should be included in this price.
• Let’s also limit the commentary on great deal, bad dealer, salesman was my uncle or any of that stuff. Post them on another thread. This thread is for the facts, just the facts and should build quickly into a reliable data base.
Not sure if we can use a table function on this site so for the time being please list your response as per the following example:

Date Model B/L $ Term $ Down Rebate Dealer Option $ Warranty $
8/1/2008 V6 Tech Lease $34500 24mths $399 $2125 $500Factory $125WindDeflector $625 10 yrs

I will try to group by model manually on a weekly basis if we cannot get a table function working.

Traded my '06 Azera (47K) Got $14K fro trade. Purchased my Genesis from Easterns Hyundai in Leesburg. They were tired of seeing me purchase my Hyundais ('01 XG & 06 Azera) from Fairfax Hyundai. Not sure if this deal could be repeated at this time but I figure $200.00 over invoice was not bad. They originally wanted $500 over invoice but then I showed them an Internet quote from Antwerpin Hyundai in Catonvilles/Clarksville MD @ 37563 and they matched it. I didn't have the heart to insist on including the iPod cable but I did only pay $29.95 (saw Rick Case about $5 surcharge). All I can say is this car is the bomb. I'm looking at getting the windows tint and possibly adding the chrome trim instead of the black. Haven't decided about the wings though I do like them Just a word about Fairfax Hyundai. They do offer good deals over there. I prepared to buy this one there too but Easterns made me an offer I couldn't refuse. :D

V6 w/ Tech Pkg = $36,500 ($500 coupon + "family" discount + additional $1K discount to take Blk/Blk showroom car and stop bothering my brother-in-law to find a different color).

I was looking through USAA website which is mainly for military people, I used there Car Dealer locator and got this price for the V8/Tech.

Not a bad price and I also have the $500 Genesis Discover Reward and expect $500 off for Military Discount. So that should lower the price $1000 and that I think is a great deal!

Your Local Dealer:

Distance: 7 miles from zip code: 92103

Vehicle Pricing

INVOICE MSRP MEMBER PRICE

Base $35,421 $38,000 $35,421

Options $3,640 $4,000 $3,640

Incentives $0 $0 $0

TOTAL $39,061 $42,000 $39,061

SAVINGS FROM MSRP: $2,939

I went through the USAA web site before the car was available and they connected me to Lehman Hyundai in Miami. Talked to them on the phone and they promised me a good deal when the car was available. When the car was available the good deal turned out to be list price. They said the car was too new to charge anything below list price. I bought from Coconut Creek Hyundai at list mainly because they did not try to get me in the door with a "good deal" and then charge me something else.

State - TX

Final Negotiated Price on Sales Invoice - $36,000
Trade equity - $5,500
Down Payment $ Amount - $3,000 (1.9% financing on the rest!)

Add'l notes:
VERY psyched about the car and the deal!

Traded a 2006 Acura TL. Genesis had more gadgets, smoother ride, more room for little ones. Tech package is incredible although I'm personally missing the touch screen navigation in the Acura. Loving the iPhone connection and the HD Radio.

Only one issue (may have to get dealer involved) - see my posting in the Technical Discussions / Electrical.

Fiste, if you would recommend this dealer please advise; I have been very unimpressed with all the dealers I have scouted in TX so far.

California (Los Angeles Area)
Possible Color- Sapphire Blue Pearl
3.8L V6 w/ Technology Package and Cargo Tray & Wheel Locks; MSRP $40,150.00; OTD $39,983.00

4.6L V8 w/ Technology Package and Cargo Tray & Wheel Locks; MSRP $42,150.00; OTD
$41,783.00

***Will probably wait for the V8's which are due in my area according to the local Hyundai Rep in late October 2008

***If I am eligible for any of the $500.00 Genesis Reward and/or $500 Military Discount- my price will even be LOWER.

***Will probably finance this purchase for three years at the most- will pay much sooner though- Equifax FICO Score is 801.

So, they knocked off $4K, that is great! I live in NJ and I can't get anyone to talk about more than $1500 off. It is worth flying to TX and picking up the car, i do some travel and go to Dallas about once a month. Can you let me know who the dealer is and where they are located?

Thanks
