If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Honestly, forget worrying about "price to be paid;" I'm having enough trouble trying to FIND one!!!

If I have my druthers I think I'd like a Pamploma red, 3.8 ultimate, but before I commit I want to SEE the colors, the Pamplona red and the two possible interiors as I really am worried about getting a light-colored interior. I be a little piggy. ;)

So ... yesterday I drove to Paramus Hyundai in N.J. to see a car listed on Hyundai circle. I'd called ahead and was informed by "Brian" that Paramus had three red and three black Genesis' IN STOCK.

Day went off to a bad start as my home phone – which I had NOT given them to call specifically because of problems with calls goes off at 10:00 a.m. Saturday - SIX HOURS - before I'm due, to ask if I'm coming in today. Phone number they SHOULD call - and NOT at 10 - is in file - so that already made me think they could give a sh*t* about customers. But okay, everyone's entitled to a mistake.

Keep in mind Brian KNOWS I'm coming in that day and has my cell and can easily contact me.

I drive out there and look for car in lot and can't find it. Brian then comes over and says car is "right over here," being disabled, I ask him to confirm it's there before I hike around lot because I couldn't find it. I wait and wait and he disappears around a corner then comes back and says he needs to see if it's been moved. Nope it hasn't.

He then gets me on crutches to climb up a couple of flights of stairs and when there, has to confab with his people about the simple question where is the car for about five minutes. He then brings over his patently slick manager who tries to ignore my "I know what I'm interested in, so where is car I came out to see?". FINALLY he informs me that it "sold that morning." I am up and out of there. They lost me.

And really? What are the odds??? I mean gosh: apparently they sell SO MANY high-end uniquely colored cars it causes no ripple or discussion.

So: do NOT go to Paramus Hyundai, and my quest to (at minimum) SEE a Pamplona red Genesis ultimate (need to see ultimate so I can also see ACTUAL leather I'd get, otherwise any package would do to see) continues!

And now every other dealer inherits the problem, as I will make them text a "hostage is alive" photo of the car to me before I drive all the way there! ;)

Bad dealerships punish any of the good ones!

Check this search site out. Select red and update the search. I already plugged in your areas zipcode. Good luck in your search. I am having the same issue locating the car color combo that a I want. Montecito Blue with Beige interior 5.0 Ultimate. I sat in a this same car yesterday with the Ivory interior. Not a bad color combo.

If you're in Jersey it's probably too far, but I had a very good experience with Classic Hyundai in Mentor, Ohio. I believe my salesman's name was Matt. They had dedicated Genesis/Equus people. I got a quote on the Genesis via email, and a rough quote on my trade also via email. They honored both despite my trade being due for new tires. It didn't end up being necessary, but they were willing to source a car for me within a couple hundred mile radius.

Thank you! But yeah: Ohio is a titch of a schlep! Ya know if Hyundai's paying attention to the boards you'd think they'd realize that people WANT the not-boring colors!

Dang, that REALLY sucks. I would have been so pissed! They certainly had your number(s) and could have called to let you know the car was sold. The old bait & switch. Sorry ma'am, we just sold the car...BUT we have another one similar. (nothing like what you wanted) Typical dealer crap... Ugh...

Sorry you day sucked, but your post cracked me up. Too funny.... :-)

I'm still trying to decide on a color also. I test drove the Empire State Gray which is awesome, but I would like to see my other top colors at the same time. So I will continue to wait... Ugh. Good luck on your quest...

And thank you! Problem I have with cargurus is that too many of the listings do NOT tell you which options packages are installed. Some do, too many do not. ;((

The 3.8 RWD Ultimate package has an MSRP of $49,950. with AWD it is $52,450. When your looking for your car, look for price at or above that price and it should be the ultimate package.

I live in Southern California. There are no Red, Montecito, or Ibiza Ultimates here. I did see a Red (non-Ultimate) with the Gray interior today and I thought it was stunning.

I'm trying to choose a 3.8 Ultimate that is White/Gray, White/Black, Ibiza, or Montecito/Gray or Black in no particular order.

"We sold that this morning" my ass. They were trying to bait and switch you.

My mom is currently shopping for a Red or Ibiza blue 2015 Ultimate. I think that Hyundai has its inventory system directly tied into AutoTrader (at least the Atlanta dears I spoke with do), so AutoTrader is a pretty good search of Hyundai inventory. Here is an AutoTrader search I use to help find red Ultimates. I tailored this to the NJ area, so it will list red 2015s within 100 miles. There is not a surefire way to limit the search to Ultimates, but I found that MSRP filters do this pretty well. (Some AWD non-Ultimates slip into the results, but they are easy to spot.)

allisonbl,

If you are looking for a Pampoloma Red with Beige interior AWD and the Ultimate package, Action Hyundai in Flemington, NJ has one in stock.

Here is the link to the actual unit on their web site:

http://www.actionhyundaideals.com/n...-Genesis-83a3cd2f0a0a006568ea444481f8f033.htm

I purchased my Casablanca White with Beige Interior AWD with Ultimate Package from them and I looked at this exact Red Genesis first before choosing the White ;)

BTW the premium Beige leather in the Ultimate package is drop dead GORGEOUS and with the brown piping trim it looks like it's straight out of a Jaguar XF or XJ :D

Action Hyundai has a fairly good reputation but like most car dealers you have to know your prices, finance rates available etc. and they do like to haggle so prepare to negotiate with their sales manager. My salesman was Mark and I found him to be a very sincere, 30ish, married with 2 kids, honest guy and an all around gentleman. (Still new to the business and not corrupted yet I guess- LOL)

PM me and I can tell you more if you like.

Matt is a good guy. I had my Genesis and my wife's Sante Fe serviced there several times and my in-laws purchased their Sonata from Classic.

First of all THANKS TO THE MYRIAD who helped on this saga; thought I'd update.

Hopefully my journey is at an end. I'll be buying from what so far seems a good dealer – South Shore Hyundai in Valley Stream New York – we will see if this continues to be true but they seem good people. ;) :(

They said they had a Pamplona red and they willingly took pictures of the car on the lot to prove to me they had it. ;)) Went out to visit and they did and it is lovely. However ... it was gray inside, and as soon as I saw it I realized why wanting to see before buying is a good idea, as it turned out that I didn't like it all that much, mostly I think because it is the same gray as the inside of my current Ford Taurus and I really want to change things up!

I then sat in a non-ultimate silver with a black interior and decided that a black interior really was a better choice for me. Interesting thing was that sitting in the car made me realize something funny that I share for what it's worth: spinal damage means that I'm so short that when I sit in the car - get this - I don't even SEE the hood which means that as far as enjoying the pretty of the car all I see is the INSIDE of the car.!!!

While for some of us it be all about keeping up with the Joneses (or the Kardashians), that ain't mah thing, so if all I'm gonna see is the inside and I like black leather, then I got to just give up on the pretty candy-colored outside and go boring, so I went with the Caspian black.

Last "whaddya think" question: deal I cut - assuming it's what they put on paper at time of signing - is standard national residual value of $31,548 and standard MF (Money factor) of .00150. They accepted the Honda Circle pricing of $47,540 and I agreed to $1000 money down. Supposedly the only additional fees are taxes of $2,134.97, a $75 Doc fee, a $10 inspection fee, $2.50 tire disposal and the bank fee of $595 all of which are rolled in. This results in either $639.82 for 36 months with 12,000 miles or - if as I think this number doesn't take into account the $1,000 down payment I agreed to- a monthly of $613.30.

Sound good yay or nay?
