  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello everyone,

I am thinking about buying a 2010 Genesis Coupe 2.0T. Would appreciate any opinion you can share if you own such a vehicle.

Many thanks,

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Quick tip. Don't drive the 3.8 if it's the 2.0 you're really interested in. I went to look at the 2.0, but got talked into driving the 3.8 as well. Guess which one I ended up buying? :)

I've had a 2.0T for about a year now and I love it. Bought the 6spd, which, in this engine, is the best option, I think. A year in, I still love it, but I kinda wished I would have ponied up for the 3.8. I dog my car kinda hard and I think if yer hard on a car and like speed, lightning response and a little hooning, then go for the 6. The 4 is awesome and the turbo lag minimal, but still there. My mileage is suffering due to my running it hard, so I am only averaging about 20mpg. Just my 2 cents worth.

I purchased the 2.0T auto. Maribeau (sp.) blue. I am 100% pleased. Im 25 and my girlfriend is 22 so we have intentions on having kids anytime soon. Which is good because the back seats are brutal. But we didn't buy the car as a taxi :)

If you like speed, and performance you will thuroughly enjoy the car. Any 4cyl car that can beat most 6cy. is good enough for me. Even the ride is nice. Only issue is when you drive past 130km/h in the 5sp auto then the cabin is a bit loud. But the music takes care of that :)

What else..hmm...I like fact you get lots of glances with this car, the colour blue I have seems to attract lots of attention. Which is nice :)

Fuel economy is variable. When my gf drives the car, we can get 600-650km on a tank. I usually get 480-520ish...But thats self inflicted lol.

Overall I wish it was a tad bit faster, but if I really cared I would have got the v6 :)

go for it...you wont be disapointed (unless your looking for a family car)

Thank you so much everyone for your input. Much, much appreciated.

Just picked up a base for the wife this wknd. It's auto 2.0T but all she needs. I'm not gonna mod it. I'm not gonna mod it. I'm not gonna mod it. I'm not gonna mod it. I'm not gonna mod it......until she's asleep, lol. Nah, if there is one lesson for others to learn about that sort of thing is.........Leave hers alone, especially if she's not into modding because you'll be the blame when she's on the side of the road on the way to work and pissed ass hell blaming the modding for whatever may have happened. Let the manufacturer soak up all that. Besides, it has a nice fresh 100k mile warranty - let it ride. I have my car and truck and bikes and computers and house and whatever else to mod on. I will simply be supervising her maintenance habits FTW!
