  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I actually had a chance to drive the V6 coupe yesterday. It was silver and automatic.:( The rear end of the car is what I think makes the car look so good. The front could've looked better but I think with a more agressive front bumper it can compliment the front end. On to the drive...First of all, the coupe's exhaust note is close to that of the Z but not so noisy inside the cabin. I didn't feel as cramped like the Z and the seating was comfortable. The handling on this car, I thought felt stable and pretty responsive. However I really didn't focus on the handling too much. As for the power on this car, I was disappointed. I gunned it a few times and it felt as if the torque was right on par with the current V6 Tib giving me the not so thrill feeling. The kickback feeling when downshifted was less than the V6 Genesis Sedan. Good news is that I was told that the coupe might have had a torque limiter which can explain that slow pickup.

All in all. The car is very attractive. The center dash could have looked a little better. And I truly hope that this was the "untuned" production version of the coupe. If it is the production version, I hope the 6spd Manual is a whole lot quicker. :D

I did take pics of the coupe from my cell and will try to upload it.

Very interesting, Brian.. I hope it was an untuned version as well.. This car should be noticeably more powerful than a Tiburon. I guess we'll have to wait and see - or look for more reviews to gauge this one...

Thank you!

how yall get it already? where are u located?

Actually this is the one that's headed to the LA Auto Show. Just happened to be on the same truck as the Genesis Sedans that was being transported here at our dealership. :)

Sounds like the base V6.... nothing to worry. I'm sure Hyundai has yet to show the real goodies.

Keep in mind that Hyundai has said the fastest Genesis Coupe will do 0-60 in well under 6 seconds... So one way or another - the Coupe will be available as a fast car...
