  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Rear Badge

just curious which rear badge most guys are putting on. the one dealer threw on is about an inch and 1/4 shorter than front badge. hoping to get it swapped out next service for recall.

Reign, sorry I missed your post. Wharthogdano above has the same eBay seller I used.

Ppern, the front and rear badge are not the same. Rear badge is formed differently than the front to fit the trunk lid curve.

Had the dealer throw in the rebadging, they told me they haven't sold one yet without doing it.

Yes, I would recommend that to anyone. Insist they throw it in with the deal. Great license plate btw!

I just purchased a new Genesis and the dealer charged for the badge change $150. We all know that this is way too much but I was still satisfied with the overall discounts and rebates. Purchase price negotiation for a new car is a give and take game and the badge was just one of many variables. I am sure the sales person was thrilled that I agreed to the $150... ;-)

After reading the posts where dealers are asking for big bucks to install the badge, I consider myself really lucky. After we'd finished all the paperwork, my salesman reached into his desk drawer and pulled out a Genesis badge and asked if I wanted them to put it on - no charge. I said heck yes and when I picked up the car the next day, there it was. Nice touch.
Freeman Hyundai in Irving TX if anyone is interested. My second Hyundai from Freeman. Top drawer folks. Highly recommended.
I bought mine at Freeman too. I referred a friend to my salesman, who ultimately bought a Genesis there, and, as a thank you, my salesman had the badge installed for free when I was in for an oil change.

I had the 2012 2.0T and I bought the badges on ebay. Glued and screwed them on myself. When I traded it in for the 2015 3.8 R-Spec, I left the badges on the old one. Now, all I see are the stick on type badges. Man, I should have taken them off the old 2.0...
