I can't remember what the website was where I ordered my painted
lip spoiler, however the
spoiler arrived with the Step-by-Step NO-Drill instructions from the manufacturer, who is Dallas Automotive Restyling. (888-556-2301) You can see a photo in their web;
www.dallasautomotiverestyling.com I'm very happy with the
spoiler. I even gave the web address to my local Hyundai Dealer (not my selling Hyundai Dealer) and he now installs this
lip spoiler on most of his new Genesis'. This
lip spoiler is held on with 3M Double Sided Tape, and the
spoiler has not moved since I installed it, even after many many automatic car washes. Once this 3M tape sticks to anything, it will not come off.
One tip that I posted back a few months ago, when I first installed this no drill
lip spoiler. Before you remove the tape backing, and you are comfortable with the placement of the
lip spoiler, then after you clean the surface area of the trunk to be covered by the
lip spoiler, using Isopropyl Alcohol;
(the following is my tip, not the manufacturers instruction)
Get a water hose near the trunk. Remove the 3M tape backing. (do not touch the tape to the trunk, because once it sticks, it is on for good and you can't remove it in case the position is not perfect) Water the trunk area and the tape on the
lip spoiler. A good soaking. While still wet, lightly place the
lip spoiler in position. Because everything is wet, you can slide the
spoiler around until the position is perfect. Only then, should you push down on the
spoiler to have it stick to the trunk. Wipe the water off the trunk and the
spoiler with a soft cloth. Push down again to make sure it sticks. Note that the tape will still be wet, so ---- Do Not Drive The Car For A Few Hours, or overnight. The water from the tape should have evaporated by then. Next morning, again, push down hard on the
spoiler to make sure it is sticking good.
Then drive the car with pride.
