  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I notice from the pictures many have put installed a rear trunk spoiler on their Genesis sedans. They look great and I have a few questions about getting and installing one.

1. Where did you order or buy yours from, and which sellers of this product do you recommend?

2. I notice some are made of fiberglass, some plastic, which is better?

3. Do they come painted the right color to match your car's color?

4. Are they easy to install, as a do it yourself project, or should it be done by a shop or dealer?

Thanks.

I went with the fiberglass RK Sport Spoiler from CARiD, it did cost a little bit more than some on eBay, but I have used them before and the fit is excellent.

They offered to paint it, but I was having other paint work done, so I bought mine unfinished.

If it is already painted, it goes on easy with double sided tape.

I have the flush mount style from Korea. It came painted and fits perfect.

How much would they charge to paint it?

I bought mine off eBay a couple years ago. Cannot give you any information on the seller as I don't remember. It's SIMPLE to install with double-sided tape. Even I did it and I'm pitiful at aligning items!! (LOL)

The color of mine is close enough that you'd literally have to stand right at it to tell a difference between the metal flake. I think it cost ~$125.... but that's a WAG.

Definitely get one already painted as these body shops love to over charge whenever they can and probably will use paint they have on hand vs order the exact match.

Best of luck and hope this helps at little bit.

I bought mine from an eBay seller in DFW area two years ago.
I've had more compliments than I could remember.

I really like the look of a spoiler...... although it took quite a while to get used to "liking" a spoiler on a 4 door sedan..... just didn't make sense, but, they're so common these days till it looks naked w/out it.

Best of luck with your search.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Besides the rear spoiler.
Dunno if you'd paid attention to the other details. ;)
The only things you can see are the Genesis wing, and "r-spec 5.0" badges.
No one can tell what car this is unless you own one.:D

Please let us know how that works when you install it, maybe show us a picture too. I was looking at just that product and seriously thinking of ordering one too.

Funny thing. I bought mine last week. So far 2 people have complimented it. Both ended their compliment with "What kind of car is that?" Which I kind of like. :)

Will do!

I am trying to find one for a 14' that is pearl white. My paint code on the VIN says YW6. The ebay link shows a white satin pearl but a paint code of AT. I am going to contact the seller to see what they know
