  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Rear spoiler on a 1G Genesis

Sorry I never got around to doing my spoiler. I got sidetracked with work and my FIL breaking his hip. Looking forward to see how everything works out!

I got the spoiler installed, after a visit to my brother's place for some help, it was almost impossible to reach in and screw in the screws but we got it done. I"ll be visiting the car wash soon then I'll take some pictures and post them.

I just put my spoiler on. To screw it on I simply drilled a hole inline with the screw in the structure support and slipped my screwdriver right in it. Very simple install and mine matches up with the body lines perfect

no I drilled a 3/8 hole in the structural support of the trunk inline with the screw hole for the spoiler so I could get a screw driver on it

The spoiler is installed and here is how it looks:

yes. it should just be a stick-on. If you have a heat gun, or even a hair dryer, blow it on there, soften the glue of the sticker up and slowly slide a piece of fishing line, or small diameter coated wire behind it. After that you should be able to heat and peel off any large pieces of adhesive, and then use goo-gone or goof off to remove the remainder of the adhesive. A good wipe down and car wash and you shouldn't even be able to tell it was ever there.

Thanks.

Or park the car in the sun for a while and remove it using a strong dental floss.
Then use Goo Gone to clean any remaining adhesive left.
While at it, get rid of the H and order the wing badge.

Yup. That's the first thing I did after the place I bought mine from put stickers all over it. I used a hair dryer, dental floss, a microfiber cloth and WD40 but anything similar works, just don't ever wipe a car with paper or anything rough.
