Guys, I just took possession of a 2011 4.6 Genesis. I've noticed several post about a rear window shade. I don't seem to have one. Are these standard or an option? I do have the tech package.
They're supposed to show you the car's features before you leave, and I suspect that some do. But many don't, probably because it's not in the culture promoted by the dealership and because they don't know much about the car to begin with.
I really feel stupid. I just found out that I do have a window shade and how to work it.
That's the difference in owning a BMW versus a Hyundai. With a BMW. the sales force makes sure they show you everything about the car before you drive away. A Hyundai salesman..... not so much.

I totally understand your response to me. But, they installed the tint on my car the day I drove it home with the instructions not to lower the windows for three days. Not knowing what the button was going to do, and having not yet had time to read the manual, I didn't chance just pressing the button. I also had kind of forgotten about the button until last night.
Now let me give you a tip. Open up your sun roof and look at the wind screen and make sure the blue protective tape has been......

The rear shade is included on every Genesis except those sold in Oklahoma. Huyndai management figured it might be too complicated to those living in the mid-west-- Sorry-
