Okay I've read through all 29 pages of this "Reported Issues With the GV60" posting. I am considering purchasing a 2023 GV60 Advantage for my wife. We live in the Bay Area and I have found a car at Stevens Creek Hyundai/Genesis. I have some questions:
1. Is this dealership reliable and responsive? I saw some have concerns about dealerships that handle both Hyundai and Genesis vehicles concurrently and I've also read some postings where the owner is unhappy with the service situation.
2. They actually have an Advantage model and a Performance model either of which would be acceptable but my wife really doesn't need the added HP. Is there anything else significant we are giving up getting the Advantage vs Performance?
3. How difficult is it to use scheduled charging at home? I want to be able to schedule charging for off peak times using the car's app.?
4. What is the most realistic assumption for range for the Advantage assuming smooth driving and 5-10 over speed limits? Advertised as 248 miles.
I just wanted to add a few quick replies in regards to my thoughts for the Advanced. Can't really reflect on Stevens Creek as I'm in Socal, but I think I recall them having a bigger markup than other dealers? So definitely make sure to shop around before making your purchase.
I have the Advanced version, the main differences are as follows: No boost button, less HP, no hugging / massaging chair, no smart key, slightly different interior. There are more differences of course, but these are the ones that stick out to me.
In regards to the boost button and less HP, I find that I don't feel a lack of either of those. Punching down on the go pedal (can't call it a gas pedal if there's no gas amirite?) is plenty responsive and fast enough that I can easily move in/out of traffic with minimal interruption to others. I don't like going on the freeway and moving into a different lane just to hold up other people, so the power is still definitely there when I change lanes and easily speed up to keep up with the traffic. Still a huge improvement over my previous car, which while not an impressive vehicle, wasn't a shabby Honda Civic with no power either. (Not ragging specifically on Civics, just commenting based on my experience with my wife's old car which was all noise and no power...)
In regards to the hugging / massaging chair, I also don't feel a lack of it. I took a road trip to Utah last year, and did a single 14+ hour drive back. Previously driving past 2 hours would give me butt/back pain in my old car which was already designed to have "better" seats and even got better ratings because of that, but this car is even better in the comfort level. I probably would forget to use it even if I had it, so no regrets in that department either.
No smart key is probably the only thing that I wish I had, because the lack of smart key also means there is no key card and no option to get it as it supposedly wouldn't work with the Advanced version, even if I bought another key card from Genesis. There are still plenty of ways for me to access the car without issues, like I can still lock/unlock with the my phone app, the keys, and the face/fingerprint recognition. I didn't think I'd use the face/fingerprint that much, but I found that it's extremely useful when I go to the gym because I don't want to carry a bunch of keys with me there and have to leave it in the locker room, but it often takes me so many tries to get it started with the fingerprint that I have to just sit and wait for the unsuccessful timeout to complete... And my wife has a really shallow fingerprint or something and she has even less success, but she also has the same issue with her phone so unsure of how she compares to the general population.
For the different interior, I actually like the Advanced version more than the Performance. The performance has this diamond stitched pattern while the Advanced has just a flat leather with almost matrix like pattern of vented holes. I think the type of leather might be different as well, but honestly it depends on your personal preference and I really like this design better instead. I think there are some other differences, like the pattern on the pedals are different too I think, but all just aesthetic stuff.

4. In regards to range, I'm a little heavy on the pedal myself, but I have an estimate of around 180 - 200 when charged up to 80%. Since you do want to keep your vehicle around that range of charge (and not 100% most of the time), I just consider this my real world scenario range. Range was previously stated at much higher when I drove mainly local around my house, but that dropped significantly when I took my previously mentioned road trip up to Utah, which was all highway and all fast. I planned the road trip by using the ABRP app, but at one point we hit a charging station that was all malfunctioning, we were on less than 10% charge, and the range showed that there wasn't enough to make it to the next charging station about 30 miles away... Luckily we met a very kind local that had a charger at his house, so we sat in his driveway and charged for an hour, which was enough for us to make it to the next charger with the car showing about 10 miles to spare.
My findings during that experience was that, prior to that, the range showed didn't match what we actually drove, but the ABRP app is pretty close in estimations. However, later on, during the very nervous drive from that local's house to the next charging station, I found that being very careful to drive while watching the car's power consumption meter, you can try not to exceed 1 block of the meter gauge at all times (which will probably limit your speed to max around 60mph unless you're going downhill) and you will meet/exceed your estimated range. At all previous points of driving, I had consumed more range than my car had estimated I would (e.g the car said I had 190 but by the time I had driven 120 miles it had only 20 miles left etc., not accurate numbers but just an example), but only on that drive I was able to exceed the range. (Car at that point estimated 35 miles left and I drove 30 miles, but by the time I arrived at the station, I had probably like 10-15 miles range left).
Overall, charging or finding charging stations are usually not in my day to day thoughts, only if on a longer trip, or if I forgot to charge overnight...)
Sorry for the huge wall of text, but hopefully you find some of this info helpful!
