  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Result of Sleeping at the Wheel

Lexus ES350 is a fantastic car.

As of now, there is no comparison with the dealer experience at Lexus vs. the dealer experience at Hyundai/Genesis. Hopefully Genesis can narrow the gap once they have their own dedicated dealerships.

The brand can set parameters, but the dealer still is the one that will determine you opinion of them. One reason I never owned a BMW or Accura is the dealer experience. Had an MB and the service department was pretty incompetent. Had a cruise control problem. Many $$$ later is was not fixed. After I flipped the bill over and drew the wiring diagram on the other side they were able to fix it correctly. Other issues with them too.

Luxury brand does not mean a luxury experience.

Well, after visiting another dealership and getting them to the numbers I wanted, I'm happy to report that it's finally over:

Congratulations, hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine that I've had for a couple of weeks.

I’m looking at two potential vehicles: 2019 Genesis G80 Sport or 2019 Lexus ES350 Ultra Luxury. Obviously with the Genesis I have a positive history, but the Lexus offers some interesting additions that the Genesis currently doesn’t have. It will boil down to the experience behind the wheel and whatever deals are available when I look.
Glad you are OK, even if your Genny isn't.

Lexus, meh. My wife's 2015 does not impress me and the Lexus service departments IME/IMO are thieves. I have not test driven the ES350 Ultra Luxury. For the price, I can say that the 2019 G80 Sport is most impressive. Loving mine.

Best wishes with all the hassle of dealing with insurance and all that. Stay safe. And congrats on that lovely G80 Sport!
