I'm resurecting this old thread with an update. I hit my rev limiter at about 7000 RPM.
It was I guess one of those everything matched up perfect and I wound up hitting the rev limiter before it shifted. Here's what happened.
Was taking off from a red light. I hit about half throttle and teh car took off and shifted into second. I then had floored it and teh car was a bit confused as to which gear to be in, so it downshifted which caused it to het teh rev limiter before it realisd that was a bad choice and so it up shifted once again.
When it hits the limitter, it acts liek any otehr limiter in that it pulss power from teh engine and will not allow teh RPM's to go up anymore. When I realised what was going on, I took a quick glance at the tach and saw the needle around 7000 RPM.
So yes, the car does have a typical rev limiter, it's just hard to get to it under "normal" driving.
