  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm seeking recommendations for summer tires for a 2011 Genesis sedan. I've put 30,000 miles on the original stock Dunlop Sport 2000Ms, and they're nearly worn out. I use snow tires in the winter, so I need only summer tires at this point.

I'd greatly appreciate any recommendations you could offer.

a year and a half ago, I replaced my tires with Continental PURECONTACT WITH ECOPLUS TECHNOLOGY. These are Grand Touring tires and not performance tires. Longevity was more important to me since I don't drive as aggressively as some.

They have been great in all weather conditions. They are much better than the Dunlops in the rain and even snow.

In fact, I am thinking about selling my winter wheels/tires (Blizaks) since I didn't even put them on this season.

I just posted in another thread, but I had Pure Contacts on our 2010 sedan, and I changed them at 65K because we hit something in the road, and tore one up. I could have easily made 70K. Long story short, we just put another set back on. I know one thing, these tires were excellent. They handled well on dry or wet, cornered well, and stopped well. They were also as quiet the day we took them off as the day we put them on. In between, I tried 2 different sets of Michelin and found they are horrible on this car. Thanks, but I'll stay with the Pure Contacts. By the way, we got 35K out of the original Dunflops. They were noisy though.

Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus's are what I've ran on my stock 17's. No complaints here, when they are on the car that is.
