Guys-- I’ve been following this forum and wanted to say hi. I thought I would do some research but rather than waste my time using the search section I want to hear from the owners who have all the time in the world. I’m leaning towards an E350 or a 335i or the Ford Focus which by the way, won Car of the Year award... but I’m in no rush to buy anything soon.
I’m wondering if a drive a Genesis will people look down upon me? Will I lose the swagger in my step? Is the ride really that rough? I used to drive a 1993 Volvo. Do the rides compare? It had Yokoomo tires. They made all the difference in the world. I couldn’t get up my driveway in the wintertime but heck, the tires sure looked good on the body. Will anyone want to ride with me if I get a Genesis and it’s rough ride? How does the car do in the turns? Does it rattle in the turn? I might test drive one next month. When I rode in my friend’s BMW people looked at me like I was important. Will they still look at me if I drive a Genesis?
I’ve read your complaints about the rear heating gauge in the back seat. Does the car heat up in the winter okay? The BMW and MB have really good heaters. Yeah they’re a lot more money but a good heater is important and I do want my moneys worth. Or should I just wait until 2012 when all the kinks have been worked out of the Genesis? Will the Genesis have better tires in 2012? Do you think they will ever carry Yokoomo tires on the Genesis? My Volvo had good Yokoomo tires. Did I mention that? If I get a Genesis, should I get a V8 or a V6? Engine size is important. I like power but gas prices are going up. My wife is quite heavy. Should she sit in the front seat or the back? Maybe I should get the V8 cause of the wife. (Don't tell her I said that) If I put 55% tint on the windows will she be able to look out? On long trips scenery is important you know. Does 55% change the color of trees along the roadside?
Oh-- and if you had it to do all over again which car would you buy and what year would you buy it?
Thanks in advance. I have to go to bed now. Mommy says it’s time.
