If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

For those of you that hate the 2015 amber DRL's and turn signals, I have found a solution that works. The V-Leds 5K WHITE AMBER SWITCHBACK V3 TRITON LED SYSTEM with the 1157 adapter works perfectly. The DRL's are white LED's and the turn signals are amber. All LED and plug and play, no hyperflash. The only thing that must be done is a hole must be cut in the bulb cover...easily done with a Dremel. What a difference! Hyundai, take note...this is the way the car should have been!

No...bulb and connector located behind a screw in dust cove.

Can you post pictures to show us how the finished product looks and the install details?

That is just cool. I am looking into getting a Genesis at the moment and that might be one of the first things I do.

I have seen videos of tuner shops in korea where the did the same trick. They also had it where the DRL's were changed to white HIDs and they intensified the bottom LED strip to be used as the turn signal in amber, and white for regular.

Korea Models with a certain package offers the white strip to also be used as turn signal. That would be have sweet if they brought it to the US. Maybe in a few more years lol.

ahhh did not know that. I sometimes get baffled by how every country gets different things everywhere. it sometimes seems very unfair

Yeah it is kind of a disappointment. Those lights the way they have it set up makes a HUGE difference. However, I guess one can always purchase the headlights from there and install it to get the look.

Pardon my ignorance, but what do the original lights look like?

The look of the original lights depend on trim level. On base levels without HIDs (e.g. halogen projectors) the inner light has to be the high beam, so the LED surround is the turn signal and DRL. So it's amber.

The post is referencing models with HIDs where the LED surround is white and the inside light is amber. I agree with him, it's a little odd to have amber DRLs. This mod makes the DRLs white except when needed for signalling.

dthoma2: I completely agree, this is the way Hyundai should have done it from the factory!

can anyone else chime in on the install of this product? I am seriously thinking of getting them and was wondering if some install pics would be possible.

Thanks in advance!!!~~:D

And especially on the drilling part...

Assuming thats it's legal to have a white turn signal, couldn't you just swap the amber led for a white led?

My VLEDs just arrived. I'll try to document the install process. MAYBE I'll get it done this weekend :)

Bad news on my VLEDs.
I bought them with what I believe is the right adapter. It allows using the Genny light socket. BUT, the VLED wants a 3 wire circuit (gnd, turn, hot for DRL) and the Genny is only a 2 wire circuit.

I'm an electrical guy but I'm underwhelmed with the instructions. So.... A call to them will be forthcoming

The VLeds don NOT require 3 wires although their 1157 adapter has them. The logic in their control box handles the 2 wire setup. When there is constant voltage, the white LED is on. When there is intermittent voltage(turn signals), the amber LED's blink. It is truly plug and play.

I'm looking forward to order a set of these. Do i need to add to the order any of the additional hardware/adapter they offer or just the 1157 adapter (+$10)?
