  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Spy shots of the long-awaited GV80.

If the modeling is accurate, the grille design/shape is better than what is on the concept.

It seems like those pictures give us a definitive shape to the taillights. If there were portions that were obscured by the tarp, then they would probably be lightly faded away. But the edges of the lights are hard cut offs, so they're likely the real shape. They look a lot like many renders, which kinda disappoints me since I thought they were kinda plain.

The wheels are nice. Not sure if I talked about them already, but it's interesting that they're only slightly different than the G80s. They seem to have a machined finish sheen on them which is very different from the G80.

22" tires

I would think those would be an option and smaller wheels will be available. If not, they will eliminate many potential customers who do not want the possible issues associated with very low profile tires.

Interesting comment by Charlie Min (Asian Petrolhead) in his recent review of the KDM Sonata.

Stated that was told (Korean?) launch of the GV80 later this year and that the G80 will launch next year.

Doesn't seem right to me as the G80 seems more production ready than the GV80.

Awesome, I'd love it if my fiancee got serious and bought a GV70. Or a GV80, or, well, anything Genesis really.

It's hard to say since it's still so camoed, but the designs seems very similar to the GV80. I know that seems obvious, but it seems Genesis has solidified its design language now vs how it's been kinda wishy washy with the G70, GV80 concept, Essentia, and G90. Expect the next few cars to look very similar.

Anyway, the GV70 basically just looks like a taller, compact crossover version of the GV80. Not much else to say lol.

Gauging size wise....
GV80=Pallisade?
GV70=SanteFe?
