  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Spyshots of 2021 G70 facelift

I like it! I wished the HVAC controls were updated to the digital ones in the new G80 and GV80. The door handles seem to be updated as well. God please let there be ambient lighting and red leather now!
Lastly, I hope these dark wheels come on the Sport models.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Yeah...pissed about the HVAC knobs not showing temp, etc. they could have done more with the center stack. Frameless rear view...control for the navigation.

Still not sure how I feel about the split headlights. Jealous of that bigger screen though.

No exterior trunk handle or release, apparently.

looks great!

Rear is fine. Front is not. Interior could have used a couple more updates, but thankfully the navi (as expected) was replaced (the original looked extremely cheap - as it did on the Stinger). Not sure there's enough to woo additional buyers - some of this seems catch-up...

After sleeping on it, I still think the design is really great, and a lot better than I was expecting. The only qualm I have is that I still think the taillights should've been longer and extended onto the trunk lid instead of stopping at the edge of it, as it leaves too much empty space. I made a (rough) photoshop rendering of this when the leaks happened a few months ago, but now that we have a better shot of the back, I had a friend who actually knows what he's doing make one. I'm really not sure why they didn't do this when all their other models have elongated taillights... Considering they already redesigned the entire back of the car, I wouldn't think it would be a cost issue, either.

Once we see the real everyday videos and pictures of the car in the colors we all like, I think it will be a standout.

IMO (not that it matters or anyone cares), the infotainment screen is a welcome addition. Unsure what effect the 3D gauge cluster (assuming that is the one here) will have in terms of eye strain or headaches. The exterior....sadly looks like a cheap Chinese knock off of the original design. Also...no Genesis wing in the rear?

Long time ago I read why Mercedes did not have taillights on the trunk of the 300. Two big reasons, both relating to cost. One is the wiring needed to go to the trunk in addition to the rear corners. Makes the wiring harness more costly and adds adds assembly time. The other was complexity in repair of the trunk lid where minor damage becomes more expensive and requires more parts.

I just compared the previous leak with the press release photos, and the 2 different viewing angles of the front change the perception of the car drastically. The unsightly curves seem to get tucked away when viewing from the angle shown in the press photos. I hope the new design looks better in person than in these photos.

Oh man, that looks good! The more pics I see, the more I love it.
