It's the grille thats throwing me off. It appears to be facing straight on in the pic but the rest of the car is at an angle.

Perhaps I'm wrong. It just looks like some type of retouching was done to me.

In the above picture you can see a clear outline of the headlights. I like how it curves up into the side fenders. I bet the side profile is going to look awesome. Still not a fan of the main grille and the grille on the front bumper though - it's too much. Hoped that the front bumper had some slits to break up the grille.

If i flip the car on it's trunk i can cook food on the grill, so that's a plus.

While could tell from earlier spy shots, this one gives the clearest look at the shape/size of the crest grille on the G80.

Like the proportions better than what's on the face-lifted G90 - having a more sportier feel/look to it as opposed to the more polarizing, but imposing look of the G90 (which makes it look more like a Bentley or Rolls competitor).

Grill looks too much like a Mazda 6, to suit me:

I prefer the current shape grill. Hard to tell about the headlights, but if they really are one above the other, also prefer the current configuration too.

It won’t really remove smudges because if you have someone come into the car they would think it is a touchscreen.

Pfft. No one touches my radio in MY car, not the wife, not the kid and especially not some stranger, co-worker, or friend.

My car, my radio, my control, touch my stuff and you’l find yourself booted on the side of the road and walking, everyone that knows me know this, i’ve never had to worry about someone touching the screen.

If they want a specific type of music they know to ask, I am open to whatever. I don’t even allow them to change the Split HVAC control, too hot or cold, say something and I will adjust the whole cabin, I hate zoned systems, 99% of the time I am the only one in my car and I like it set a specific way.

Likewise I don’t touch the controls in someone else’s car, including my wife’s.

It appears that the front signals will be dual amber, one from each lens. Looks as tho the white DRL's will turn off when the signal is activated?

This render is old but it's the best render we have yet for the g80, just check the lines of rear lights in this image

I agree with that render. The front is pretty much spot on. I anticipate the rear will be quite close to that as well.

Ironically, Mazda's grille shape has morphed so that it looks Hyundai-esque (hexagonal shape).

Altho, technically a septagonal grille shape.

But Mazda is hardly the only automaker to have used a pentagonal shape for its grille; Cadillac and Acura are among others who have done so (altho, they also have changed their grille shapes over the years).
