  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The 2015 Hyundai Genesis Gets All The Gadgets

Must be different rules here in Canada. The dealership I go to is an Equus dealer too and has all models mixed together in one showroom. An Equus and a Genesis are in the middle of the room with all different models surrounding. There is one moderate size waiting area that is part of the sales floor for all to use. I can not see any separate area for Genesis and or Equus.
I was recently at a US dealer and saw pretty much the same thing as you saw in Canada.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
2 of the dealers near me are not authorized by Hyundai NA to sell the Equus. They are selective. The Equus is the flagship. The Genesis is a nice car.
Agree - the Equus is nice, but far more car than I want or need. And so much of the value is in the back seat - nobody ever rides in my back seat, least of all me. My 2010 3.8 has about 30K miles on it, and I'm now retired and driving even less than I have for the past 4 years. I honestly expect my Genesis to be the last car I'll ever own.

On the Hyundaiusa.com site, the "dealer locator" provides a box to check to show dealers authorized to sell the Equus. On average, it appears this applies to about 70% of dealers.

I've been to Equus dealers in several states (Ct, Ga and Fla) and have yet to see one with a separate showroom or waiting room.

While tolerable, not all that pleasant having to sit next to a Genesis owner.

Or God forbid and Accent or Elantra owner! ;-)

I seen one that has the Equus car in a different room from the others and is on a nice floor and room. It had red carpet too.

Even worse is having to sit next to a former Genesis owner, who swore there was nothing wrong with the 2009 Genesis suspension, but then promptly upgraded to the Equus with air suspension.

Exactly! One reason why I got the Genny and not the Equus. If there IS someone in the back seat, it's not going to be a long ride - just to a restaurant or something! Kids? They go in a mini van. HA

Where did you seen that?
