  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The Hyundai Genesis: 10 Things I Love About You

I agree completely. The V8 brakes make me feel like my face is being ripped off my head, which in the kind of car this is.....should:D

I have noticed that when I let other people drive the V8 they tend to press the gas pedal too much and get stunned by the initial pull, then when they press the brakes they tend to jump on them and stop in a jerky motion. In this car you basically don't need much throttle to get the car going and you don't need much brake pedal force to get it to stop. Two people have commented in the exact same manner, "This car is scary".

I remember when I test drove the V8, I did not expect the throttle to be so touchy.. and was surprised. When I test drove the V6 that I bought, I thought it was touchy. I think now that I have driven it about 250 miles now, it seems normal now.

The V8 definately has a lot more torque to it when you want to get on it. I think it really pushed you into the seat if I remember...

I am going to attempt to be perfectly content with the V6 I bought..:)

I've only had my Genesis for 5 days, and I LOVE it! It is the first car that I was ever able to purchase that was my dream car! I agree with all of the above, and can't wait until I learn how to operate everything. Right now, I'm lost with all the bells and whistles!

FWIW, I didn't mean to say that Mongo's comments weren't appreciated, only that I felt they would be better directed to the Pet Peeves thread. :)

Hey, no worries on my end. FWIW I had posted some of those items in the pet peeves thread.
