  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey all,

I'm looking at a used (not CPO) 2015 Genesis 3.8 AWD and it has a set of Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires on it. Is there a way to know if this car ever got the Michelin replacements and if not, would it still be eligible despite the fact that it doesn't currently have the Hankooks?

Is it through a Hyundai dealer? If so, the dealer should be able to answer both questions - if not, Hyundai Corporate (HMA) should be able to tell you from the VIN?

I think any dealer should be able to tell you via the VIN. Dealer computers are hooked in with Hyundai Motor America, and are aware of all completed and outstanding recalls, and service programs.

I was told they need to have the Hankooks in exchange. Since you do not have then I think you are out of luck.

Thanks for the info everyone!

Ditto... I agree with Midnightsun that you would have to have the Hankooks on it inorder to get the free replacements. It is still worth asking your dealer though.
