  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Transmission Oil Question - 2011 Equus Signature

Change it, including pan/filter. I supplied an Indy with the parts. He charged 150. Fluid/filter not cheap

Hey everyone, I still own my 2011 Hyundai Equus, I've got 225k miles on it now and its the best car I've ever owned, transmission is still smooth as butter and this kit was a perfect fit. Oil change kit for 6HP26/28/32

Make sure you buy 4 extra quarts of the ZF LifeGuard6 - 1L Container oil to do the job right. I took my car to the dealer with the kit since my guy let's me bring my own stuff; I'm getting ready to do this again.

@TuEKiD - Thank you for the link to the kit.

That seems to specifically for 2011 Equus owners. From ‘12 on, Equus engines went to 5.0L, and the transmissions went to 8-speed units.
