  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I was under the impression that the Ultimate Package was just that, (included all options) however, when reviewing the 3.8 Genesis Sedan w/Ultimate Package at the local dealerships advertised as "has it all", but found that not to be the case.

I saw that serveral of the vehicles listed as ultimate package, had the HUD system, control knob on console, 9.2 screen, heated/cooled seats, however, no heated steering wheel, no advanced Smart Cruise, no rear curtain control.

Apparently there are degrees of the Ultimate Package and increased pricing with each degree?

My parents purchased a 2015 3.8 HTRAC Ultimate and their car has all the options you mentioned. From my understanding, it is called the Ultimate package because it has every option. The best way to tell is to look at the window sticker to see if the car is built as an Ultimate. Next, look at the options included. I may be wrong, but if a dealership is listing the car as an Ultimate and it doesn't include all the options, the dealership is listing the car incorrectly.

Not in the U.S. The AWD cars all have heated steering wheels and rear seats by default. The Ultimate package is not a dealer-built option, it is a factory option with the features as detailed on the Hyundaiusa web site.

Your dealer is either misinformed, scamming you or there is confusion in the communications.

The Ultimate package (on the window sticker) lists were diifferent, as was the MF price range $50-55000, all included the signature, tech, and then Ultimate. But with rise in price added addtional items in the Ultimate Package.

That must be dealer add-ons and mark ups like wheel locks, trunk netting, nitrogen air, etc.

has anyone seen the cars with ultimate in Australia? the rear seat arm rest has more features than we get in the AWD 3.8 Ultimate.... wish they would include those in US cars.

I've also seen a video with the 2015 Genesis have reclining rear seats in a different country.
