Ordered mine today. The owner at Uniq was very responsive!
Can't wait to get them installed. Tired of that sloppy feeling in the steering wheel.
Received my collars today. Going to schedule some shop time and a 4 wheel alignment, hopefully later this week.
Anyone have experience with installing them? Did the front suspension have to be dropped? Did you have to mess with the springs?
So I got 8 "R"s, 1 "F", and 1 unmarked which is really thin.
Where does the "F" go? Anyone?
F washer goes on rear passenger side bolt on the front subframe.
Next thinnest washer goes on rear most driver's side bolt on front sub frame.
Rigid collars installed this weekend. So far, there is a marked difference in the way the vehicle handles.
The car feels smoother on all types of rough road conditions. Small bumps have little to no effect on the vehicle's stability. Larger bumps are still felt through the vehicle and steering wheel but with a greatly reduced shimmy in the vehicle. Small vertical bumps (like speed bumps) don't bounce the car like before. The car almost floats them smoothly with no bounce.
There is a road near my home that has a variety of bumps from small pot holes to poorly patched pot holes to cracks with vertical offsets. I dread this road every time I drive it because of the constant vibration it causes within the vehicle and the steering wheel because it is one pot hole after another. I took it for the first time yesterday. It felt like a new road. Absolutely no vibrations in the steering wheel and nearly felt like a smooth road.
Overall, the ride is much improved. The sloppiness in the steering wheel is almost completely gone. Fantastic upgrade for the money. Well worth the 3 hours of shop time to install!!!
I got as many pictures as I could. I will post a DYI on the install.
Totally agree
Surprised not more people on not jumpn on this mod
Worth every penny
Since I've done both I would say that the collars are more important than the rear sway bar and the collars are less $.
Ordered mine last night. Will be installing them next weekend.
