  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

US dealers who actually have the G70 available for sale.

Looks like Genesis has got people built up to a frenzy over the G70. Sounds like a supply and demand marketing strategy to do just this. Soon as they hit the showroom they're gone.

I think Beefers fairy tale, is going to back fire on him. :hillarious: You boys better quit playing around on the internet and get some money down on one early or you'll be whining about missing you chance.:punish:

What the F are you talking about now? You in backwards land again?

Cars are not moving at all...and already being marked below MSRP.

I respectfully disagree. Every time a new 3.3T G70 gets listed on CarGurus I "save" it. I get an alert when one is sold. They definitely aren't flying off the shelves... They may have a few that were sold before being listed, but the listed cars are just sitting still. I think dealers will quickly find that the demand is less than anticipated.

The reason it looks like there is a lot of interest is that this is a forum specifically for the G70. It would be like going to a Red Sox game at Fenway and then concluding that everyone seems to love the Red Sox. Outside of this forum, the awareness of the brand (and the G70 in particular) is quite low.

Where did you get that info? Your sources are lying to you. The cars are definitely NOT flying off the shelves. According to cars.com Genesis has not sold more than 5 cars as of today.

Really cars.com!:hillarious: No offense, when's the last time you actually went into a Hyundai Genesis showroom? No offense, but wait this is even funnier; You're asking me who my sources are and in the same breath calling them lairs. Now that's seriously funny.:roflmao:
You boys are sure worked up about it! :wacky:

Sorry, I see it as; there are those here in the G70 Forum, who actually own one. Then there are a bunch of ne'er-do-wells, naysayers and dreamers. Take your pick as to whom fits the bill.

Keep and eye pealed here ( Genesis G70 Sales Figures ) when they post it and you'll actually get the real scoop. :sorrow:Car.com:punish:

Do you have another source that shows they're selling? I'm just curious.

Drove two G70s at Wilkins today.

The 3.3T design edition (forest green) and a black 2.0 sport that was pretty much fully loaded (sticker listed the elite and prestige trims along with the sport, though I kind of thought sport included all of those things automatically).

Anyway the 3.3T in sport mode is a beast. Really quick to get up over 60mph, and sounds beautiful. Fairly tight handling, but not quite up to an AMG/M3 etc. Very nice trim, but I didn’t care for the light cream color for the interior, just my personal taste. The interiors, while nice, are a definite notch below Audi and Mercedes (though I think the options like heated AND vented seats along with heated steering wheel etc do make up for some of that... can anyone tell me why it’s so hard to find a C class or A5 or S4 with vented seats??). I drove a 2019 C class the other day and it just felt so elegant inside, even the steering wheel was beautiful (AMG design package).

The 2.0 sport still was very quick and a really solid car, but I just have my heart set on the cherry-on-top 3.3T.

The cars feel very solid and almost a little bigger than they actually are (not boatish, but just very solid, I think due to the suspension and handling).

Overall positive experience at this dealership with both Eddie (manager) and Tim (sales). In fairness, the cars had literally just come off the truck when I got there, so there was a lot of learn-as-you-go, and as we know Genesis has kept them in the dark about a lot of things. They were also having trouble finding if the 3.3T comes in a sport package, as they didn’t see this in their info from the manufacturer. It just blows my mind that every single review you see of this car features a Mallorca blue 3.3T sport and Genesis has made this car an endangered species during the launch of predominantly 2.0 trims, and this supposedly “rare” design edition is popping up all over the place!

Also, they had a 2.0 in Siberian ice. Not my thing, but a nice color if you want something white but not completely white.

Everyone at Fenway loves the Red Sox?? :)

I wonder if the Cars.com listings will ever get sorted out... as in, the trim aka packages have seemingly not been given proper metadata status for filtering. Last I checked, one trim showed as "filterable" and the rest were jumbled in together.

Side note: "Siberian Ice" is hard to classify according to the standard colors Cars.com provides and is therefore bound to be called multiple things.

Honestly...I use cars.com to see if a new dealer has come online. I usually sort with newest added. I have a list of all the dealers and their websites...which I then check individually. Yeah...PITA...but you get accurate results...kind of. The dealer sites have mislabeled info as well...so I always check the window stickers.

What a nightmare.

Now...what I do find VERY accurate is when you use the inventory search on the main Genesis website. But...you cannot change your distance radius. So you have to plug different zip codes (which I maintain a list of along with the websites).

Having fun yet? Sheesh.

You deserve a discount off of MSRP for the work you're putting in!

I think we are starting to see that everyone will be getting a discount from MSRP. A number of dealers are advertising that now on their sites. The cars just aren't moving quickly so I would think to get more out there Genesis may offer some dealer incentives or something similar.

Sounds good to me!

Seriously. White, Silver, Gray... all partially correct lol

Fantastic news.

Regarding Knauz dealership in Lake Bluff, IL, I just heard back from the salesman I had hoped to work with:

We have resigned our Genesis dealership. Genesis tried to cut dealerships because there are too many (we were not on that list) . Many of the dealers on the cut list threatened law suits and Genesis decided to pull back. With the fact that we are just south of a huge healer and north of another fairly large dealer, we decided to resign. There will be to many dealers in our estimation. That coupled with the amount of money it would take to build a free standing building to their specs made us pull back.

This decision was made a very short time ago and was not made lightly. I am sorry that I will not be able to assist you.

Sorry to hear your dealer will be gone but hopefully with the ones in your area you will still be able to get a good deal and service.
