  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

US dealers who actually have the G70 available for sale.

Do you work for a Genesis dealer or corporate? If a dealer, can you at least say what state and what the status is of Genesis I that state.

Corporate.

Are you talking about the programs that some employers have to get discounts off MSRP? Almost like Costco Auto? Or are you an employee of Hyundai/Genesis and getting a true employee discount?

The latter.

Curious on how much more? Interesting what type of factory mark up different brands have. I purchased a 26k Chevy 2 years ago, my employee discount from MSRP was barelly $2,300. A year later I purchased my Camaro, at 46k MSRP, my employee price was 42k. Would you share how much approximately that would be? (excluding any available rebates of course)

My last car was G80 Sport, paid less than $43.5k for it.

I WILL wait for the employee discount as it is far more than just a few grand.

Well...why are they not offering employee discounts right now? Is there some threshold they follow...like waiting 6 months after it's released or something?

You paid $43.5k for the Sport...what was MSRP ? $57,750 for the AWD? Dear lord...either way...what a discount !! Lucky you.

For the same reason why G70 isn't available in all other dealerships/states and not available on the official genesis website... Simply put, it's too new.

As an employee...do you have any insight on why they main USA website is such a mess? No configurator, G70 missing from many of the pages, etc?

That is not correct, being a new model has nothing to do with the lack of availability. It is because of Genesis becoming it’s own entity and the legal and other issues of being allowed to franchise in each state.

I have to agree that now is not the best moment for buying/ leasing the G70. IMHO is too soon. You can compare it with the G80 and see that the G70 right now has NO incentive at all but the G80 is getting $5500- $5800 lease cash incentive. That is a huge difference. I'm not telling you that the G70 will get the same discount as the G80 but waiting a little bit will not hurt. Add to this that some dealers are selling the car at sticker price or even more. With time all those dealers for sure will be able to sell at invoice price or less.

I'm fully aware of the licensing fiasco. I'm just saying G70 is a new model and isn't readily available. That's all I can tell you at this moment.

Never mind, was going to comment but probably shouldn’t. ;)

I've been waiting on the G70 since I first saw it in person about year and a half ago... and here I am, still waiting for the car (or discount) to be released. :cautious:

At this rate, I might get the Veloster N before the G70.

Here is a Havana Red 3.3T Sport AWD...and oddly enough with the gray stitching !!! Love the seats...

If I wanted the red...this would be in my garage already :) Hot car.

The Havana Red Design Edition in Alexandria (with $5k markup) has red stitching.

$10 per stich? 😯

If the Veloster N had come out 5+ years ago, I totally would have bought it. I see it as what everything a modern Honda CRX should have been. I loved that little car back in the 90's and early 2000's.

Too small for me now, though. Plus more creature comforts are nice.

It is a lot more than a few grand.

It usually is. I'm waiting for it too. Hyundai Circle emailed me that the pricing will be out the end of October. so i'm holding tight.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Genesis of Savannah had 4 G70s in their new inventory yesterday, no pictures so I assume they have not arrived. One of them was a 2.0 elite, it is now marked as sold. Prices look like they are at MSRP.

I guess Michigan is the next state to get G70s, there are some showing on cars.com located at Glassman Genesis in Southfield.

A bunch of new pics uploaded on cars.com at Burns. Anyone notice the 2.0T awd prestige models have the 10 spoke rims? I am utterly confused now, I thought only rwd models with 19 inch wheels got the 10 spoke. They look good though.

Apologies if I'm reposting this, being on a business trip abroad certianly helps me keep my mind off of wanting/browsing the G70!

Yeah, I have no idea what's going on with the configs now... o_O

Yeah, maybe that's why it hasn't been updated on the website yet. I prefer they get it right before just throwing it up there to appease the masses.

Kinda crazy...Cars.com is broken for 3 straight days now.

Search works...but then click on a car and boom.

Ever since the MI cars showed up.
