  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

US dealers who actually have the G70 available for sale.

Not sure why you are even posting in an open forum then...seems rather pointless. I cannot imagine what risk there would be if you shared the details about your deal as you w

I am calling BS on this. There is absolutely no consequence of sharing this information...I can only think of one reason why you will not. But it makes me wonder why you posted anything about it at all.

The consequence is that my dealer might be disadvantaged for no good reason. Who should I be most concerned about: the dealer who’s done an excellent job for me or a stranger who demands information, implies that I’m stupid because he does not understand my reasoning and says I shouldn’t be posting at all. I’ve posted because I believed I was sharing information that might be useful to others who were interested in the G70. I’m over that. Goodbye.

This is becoming comical. Every other forum I've ever been a member of, the other members post in hopes of showing who closed the best deal. Here it's now a secret:)

Two new dealers today, one in Alabama and the other in Georgia.

Right? Hell, even on Facebook car groups, people will ask that question and people will respond!

The dude obviously paid MSRP and didn't want to get clowned on by the group. When I pay MSRP because I need a new car by year's end I'll take the beating but I won't care because I'll be driving the car before most everyone else. Phoenix dealer called again today as they are getting 3 shipments within the next few weeks.

I've been lurking until now. I have to call BS on the post about not being able to post the purchase price and raving about Jim Ellis. I tried to deal with them last week. They refused to budge on MSRP. They also have $1115 in dealer add ons (paint & fab = $495, tint = $395, mats = $225). That is a blatant money grab. I wouldn't be surprised to find out those posts were from an employee of that dealership. On another note, there is absolutely nothing unethical about sharing purchase price. The system is set up to create an information asymmetry that favors the dealership. I can promise you that dealerships are doing just fine without your "help."

Dealer add ons an absolute deal breaker. Scam.

Yeah, I think it was an employee or something. Makes no sense otherwise.

I'm with "DA" on this one. He doesn't "owe" any of us on this forum anything. We are all just anonymous posters, and he may well have a personal relationship with the dealer or an employee. My impression is that he is a man of integrity. In todays world, we need more of those.

I got a call from that same dealer (Earnhardt). So far, they have been the only dealer in the valley to show any professionalism. The others have acted clueless. At the end of September, I called one to ask if they had a better idea of delivery dates. He told me he was pretty sure the G70s weren't coming in until 2020. I told him that an official announcement from Genesis the previous week said they'd be coming around October. His response was, "If you know all this, why are you calling me?" Earnhardt has been good about staying in touch.

If he has a personal relationship, then his experience would likely be skewed towards positive due to that, and it's still just a plug for a dealership because of his relationship. Others have said this place is sticking to MSRP so it's still really not helpful for anyone else because they're not going to have that same experience.

Whatever. If that’s the case...he should just keep it zipped. Like I said...we chased the wanker away :)

Don't get me wrong but DA couldn't get any good deal ever. He swapped a 2015 Equus for a 2017 G90 and then in less than two years he swapped again for a 2019 G70. Just in depreciation he should have lost a few thousands dollars.

He no doubt did:(

Formerly, two local dealers [Rochester, NY] had Genesis websites; they have disappeared. As of yesterday, the find-your-dealer utility shows Buffalo dealer as closest [60 miles away].
