  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

US dealers who actually have the G70 available for sale.

Oh, it's a good thing that one was not there last night so I could see the bronze trim and tinted taillights hahaha. Per one of the Sales Managers, one of the higher ups took the car home with him (clearly they're just as excited to finally have the cars as we are). I got there at around 6:45 last night and they had the olive greenish 3.3T on the 18" 20 spoke wheels (AWD) and then a Siberian Ice 2.0T AWD with the Elite Package. All of the Hyundai/Genesis salesmen were busy so I ended up going outside and checked the two out myself. Well, it turns out the Siberian Ice one was unlocked so I checked it out. My observations:

1.) The chrome trim on the door handles, windows, grill, etc. isn't all that bad. Then again, I didn't see the Sport 2.0T next to it, but as I'm interested in the 6MT, I'm relieved that the chrome isn't too gaudy.

2.) I love how the dashboard faces slightly to the drivers side, similar to how Mk4 Supra's do. A small touch, but one that surely indicates that this is a drivers car.

3.) Siberian Ice - just...wow. They had it under the blue LED lighting from the parking lot and it's a wicked color. I was interested in the red or the brighter blue since too many cars on the road are dull today, but I may have to reconsider.

4.) I like the LED parking lights up front and the taillights in the back have a cool design when they're lit up.

5.) Rear leg room is tight if you're a tall driver and have a tall passenger. Adjusted to my height (I'm 5'7.5); it's fine. Not a big deal to me as I don't have little ones and don't really carry passengers all that often.

6.) The LED lighting inside is nice. I'm not sure if the 6MT has this, but it'd be nice.

7.) The auto pop up trunk is awesome. The trunk does have a grab handle to close it. Seems obvious that it should, but Honda (of all companies) forgot to include it on their 2018 Accords (that was a car I was seriously looking into, the 2.0T Sport 6MT).

8.) The cubby under the infotainment center fits my iPhone 7 nicely. Not sure on a Plus or Max. The center console was a lot shallower than I'm accustomed to, but then again, both my GTI and Mazda 3 do not have a driveshaft going down the center of the car.

After spending a good 15 minutes checking out the car by myself, I walked back in to see if there were any salesmen available. Same thing, all busy. The sales manager ended up getting someone from their neighboring Mazda store. Here's where I got a little pissed off. The salesman (didn't catch his name) knew nothing of the car. Hadn't even seen it. Okay, no big deal as he's on the Mazda side. But then he asked "how far off are you from trading the Mazda in" and I said about 6 months (reality is longer). I guess he took that as "this guy is here for a joyride" and gave me the speech, "oh, well, you know, pricing could change in 6 months, you should come back and check it out then." I guess I should've just bs'd with him a little bit? It's a nice dealership, but that left a bad taste in my mouth. What's to say I hated the way it drove? A 6MT isn't going to change the entire car around! It's not like I'm 18 years old, but whatever. I "re-checked" out the car since I didn't tell him that it was unlocked, popped open the hood. I regret not checking out the Lexicon stereo system. I'll probably end up getting one from Rosen if I did anything since that dealership is literally down the street from me.

Overall, I like it a lot. Right sized, good side and rear profile and the front is nice too, although I'd say it's the "weak point," especially with the chrome rather than the bronze trim I didn't see in person. I'm genuinely curious to check out the leatherette seats since this one had the leather and the cushion extender that the 6MT gets.

Drove two G70s at Wilkins today.

The 3.3T design edition (forest green) and a black 2.0 sport that was pretty much fully loaded (sticker listed the elite and prestige trims along with the sport, though I kind of thought sport included all of those things automatically).

Anyway the 3.3T in sport mode is a beast. Really quick to get up over 60mph, and sounds beautiful. Fairly tight handling, but not quite up to an AMG/M3 etc. Very nice trim, but I didn’t care for the light cream color for the interior, just my personal taste. The interiors, while nice, are a definite notch below Audi and Mercedes (though I think the options like heated AND vented seats along with heated steering wheel etc do make up for some of that... can anyone tell me why it’s so hard to find a C class or A5 or S4 with vented seats??). I drove a 2019 C class the other day and it just felt so elegant inside, even the steering wheel was beautiful (AMG design package).

The 2.0 sport still was very quick and a really solid car, but I just have my heart set on the cherry-on-top 3.3T.

The cars feel very solid and almost a little bigger than they actually are (not boatish, but just very solid, I think due to the suspension and handling).

Overall positive experience at this dealership with both Eddie (manager) and Tim (sales). In fairness, the cars had literally just come off the truck when I got there, so there was a lot of learn-as-you-go, and as we know Genesis has kept them in the dark about a lot of things. They were also having trouble finding if the 3.3T comes in a sport package, as they didn’t see this in their info from the manufacturer. It just blows my mind that every single review you see of this car features a Mallorca blue 3.3T sport and Genesis has made this car an endangered species during the launch of predominantly 2.0 trims, and this supposedly “rare” design edition is popping up all over the place!

Also, they had a 2.0 in Siberian ice. Not my thing, but a nice color if you want something white but not completely white.

What time were you there? It'd be funny if we were there at the same time, ha!

Awesome!!!

Here is the latest dealer list, a few new ones. There are now 25 dealers with inventory in 11 states.
I will crosspost with the other similar thread.

Honestly...I use cars.com to see if a new dealer has come online. I usually sort with newest added. I have a list of all the dealers and their websites...which I then check individually. Yeah...PITA...but you get accurate results...kind of. The dealer sites have mislabeled info as well...so I always check the window stickers.

What a nightmare.

Now...what I do find VERY accurate is when you use the inventory search on the main Genesis website. But...you cannot change your distance radius. So you have to plug different zip codes (which I maintain a list of along with the websites).

Having fun yet? Sheesh.

What does Cars.com use as a source? Dealer sites are rarely that accurate, but I have not found cars.com to be reliable at all. When I try to search the Lexus dealers in my area for the ES350, Cars.com tells me there are none, yet between the 2 dealerships, the inventory shows nearly 40...and a visit to the one dealer showed that at least the count on the dealer Web site was accurate.

Interesting...same 4.6% that Safford is discounting. What is so magical about 4.6 ?

I am screen capturing all these sites that have discounts...LOL. More fire power for me.

How is it fire power? I remember trying to use this tactic when the Infiniti G35 first came out and some dealers in other states were offering early discounts. I lived in Atlanta at the time and I took this information to my local Atlanta dealer...they suggested I continue on to the airport and fly to those dealers and buy one of their discounted cars.

The dealers are the source for the listings but not all dealers do third party marketing on sites such as cars.com, autotrader.com and car gurus.com.

I was there on Thursday. There’s some delay with my posts since I’m a “new member” so i don’t think it popped up til yesterday. The cars had almost literally just come off the truck, one hadn’t even gotten gas yet. Good timing, I guess.

FYI I’m having difficulty finding a Mallorca blue 3.3T sport which is frustrating since this is the one they show in almost every review... according to cars.com there’s like 2 available in the whole US. Lots of 2.0 trims for people looking to keep the cost down, and I really have to emphasize that the 2.0 sport was really still a fun and quick car. It’s just that once I got a taste of the 3.3T V6... well, you know.

Also still torn on if I’m ok with the overall interior quality. Leaves something to be desired compared to how beautiful the 2019 C class is. So do I sacrifice power for beauty, or beauty for power...? If only this Genesis came with a Tree of Knowledge too.

So...I know the car that I am looking for (but with red stitching) was sold in Atlanta yesterday morning. It was my backup...kinda...if I decided to settle...but not going to for now :)

It was a 3.3T Sport AWD in SI w/ red stitching.

Wonder if the new owner is on here :)

The Baton Rouge, LA location has 3 G70s in stock. Two 2.0 and one 3.3 Design. I had thought Louisiana was way embroiled in lawsuits, so it was unexpected to see inventory show up here. Figured Texas would get them before Louisiana. I’m going to try to get there to see the 3.3 in person and take a test drive. I’m interested in the Sport. Here’s a video of the Design that they have:

That video was interesting...

Best close up of the design edition I've seen though. Gorgeous, but I'm not sold on the white steering wheel.

I'm curious to hear your thoughts after seeing it in person.

Personally, I'm not a fan of dealer videos. They're usually poor quality, have cheesy music and some lame commentator/salesman. I'd rather just look at the manufacturer's pictures/videos or the professional reviewers.

I’ve seen it in person at a dealer. The green is so dark it almost looks black. That being said it was very overcast that day so there wasn’t any sun hitting it. I didn’t even bother asking to sit in it after seeing the steering wheel. I felt it looked odd and knew I’d never be interested in it. Just my personal taste.

Yeah, it was an interesting choice.

My main worry is that it would be a bitch to keep clean. Same for the seats. That beige looks like it would get grungy fast.

Though at this rate they'll probably all be sold before the G70 even makes it to CA :/

Not sure if its beige or light gray but either one nearly impossible to keep clean. The metallic finish on that car though looks spectacular.

Agreed. It looks like there is a ton of metal flake in there, definitely a unique touch.

Not sure if this has been mentioned: I am looking for a specific model/color and have been in contact with Genesis corporate in AZ. They have been great. They steered me toward Burns in NJ and I drove down fom Bawstin to test drive 1 of 3 they had. AZ kept me informed of models going to the dealers, before they arrived. The color/model/trim I am looking for is scheduled to arrive in CT this week. I can't wait. I was ready to drive to MI but they only had a v6 with the prestige trim. Too much $$ for me. Give Genesis in AZ a call.

Here is the latest list of dealers that have received the 2019s. We have a new state (NY) and a few more dealers. I also have changed the listings to use the official dealer name as listed in Genesis' dealer locator.

I get the data from the listings on cars.com, cargurus.com and autotrader.com as well as folks posting that they know of a dealer with inventory. Currently there are a few dealers that have inventory but do not have it listed on third party sites. If you run across any dealers that are not on the lost please post the info.

I also ran the "States without Dealers" check on Genesis' web site and the info did not change since the last time. There are still 36 states that do not have dealers according to Genesis.

I will crosspost this on the similar thread.
