  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

US dealers who actually have the G70 available for sale.

The color/model/trim I am looking for is scheduled to arrive in CT this week. .

What dealer are they saying should be getting cars in CT? I just checked the Genesis Dealer Locator within the past hour and it says there are no dealers set up in CT yet.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
MJ Sullivan is supposed to be one of them. They are showing they will have them on their web site. Last time I talked with Mike Desmond he said they would have them but did not know when.
M.J. Sullivan Genesis | Genesis Dealership in New London, CT

Thanks Ed, my guess is that they have not finalized the franchising and/or state licensing yet since they don't show in the Dealer Locator for that zip code. Then again using that zip code shows a dealer in Milford which is the first time a dealer in CT has ever showed. The problem though is when you enter a zip code for Milford, no dealers in CT show up. Looks like Genesis' Dealer Locator is not functioning quite right.

It looks like they read your post.......the G70's no longer show a discount.

Beefer would know for sure but it seems like there G70 inventory is less than what it was before. If that is the case, perhaps they used the discount to sell some cars so they can get points for another allotment and/or being able to request specific vehicles or maybe just to sell some.

Safford only had 5 cars. So they haven’t sold one single G70 in 3 weeks. Wow.

Safford only had like 4 or 5 cars.

Ok, thanks. I thought that the salesman said they had two shipments but maybe they second one didn't arrive yet.

I believe your other comment about how they aren't flying off the lots is correct. Alabaaster purchased hers from New Jersey, and didn't buy it from the other Alexandria dealer. I think they started off with (8) cars, and they have (7) still listed on their website.

Yeah...even Atlanta...salesguy told me they’re selling like crazy. I call bullshit...he doesn’t know we can see what they have apparently.

Even with the limited number of dealers, if either of us is correct then it does not bode well for Genesis at all. It should make for some healthy discounts in the future though. :drinks:

You are correct. Just emailed with the salesman there that I have been talking to and he said they have all of the cars that they originally received. Interestingly, he said that they had quite a few serious buyers but they are all looking for base models and they only have loaded models in stock. He did say though that one of the members here that I sent to him to buy the Polar Ice G80 Sport closed the deal today. That is the second one that sold from me telling people where they were, I hope there will be one for me should I decide to get it. ;)

Not to mention the new BMW 3 Series, refreshed Mercedes C Class, new Mercedes A Class, and upcoming Mercedes CLA should cut into sales around the price point. Patience will likely be greatly rewarded.

Looks like CT finally finished the paperwork. Expect the G70 to arrive in Connecticut this week! Key Hyundai or Genesis of Milford will be the first of the dealers with inventory in the state.
Cross-posting this in the US Availability thread.

Update on South Carolina. FYI @TurtleBoy Both the Genesis of West Columbia and Genesis of Hilton Head SC have removed thier2019 inventory from their respective websites. (Peacock Automotive Group | New Volkswagen, Dodge, Jeep, Subaru, Audi, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Land Rover, Maserati, FIAT, Jaguar, Porsche, Genesis, Ford, Hyundai, Ram dealership in Hardeeville, SC 29927) Contact with Peacock Automotive Group (both Genesis dealers belong to Peacock) representative advised that an unspecified change has occurred and their 2019 inventory is being held up. Will advise me when they receive word that inventory has been allocated. FUBAR.

I wonder what happened to hold everything up. If they already had it listed, you would think everything was setup paperwork wise.

^ Thanks Larry, I will remove them from the list. I wonder if that is why their inventory did not show up on any third-party sites. We will keep an eye out for an update.

WTF ?!?!!? So SC was selling cars...and suddenly inventory pulled from both dealerships...and not allowed anymore?

Certainly a possibility. The rep for Peacock implied that the Hilton Head dealership was co-listing inventory with Peacock of Savannah GA and that was permissible because they are all part of the same dealership group? However, once this undefined change occurred they removed the inventory. I don't know whether it was ordered by Genesis or an internal dealership decision. Something does not make sense. Of course, what has made sense with this whole fiasco?
